new country mini
i have heard that new country mini has just lost thier lead mini tech andthey have went through 2 differant motoring advisors word on the street is that the lead tech has went to fairfield mini. what does this mean for new country?????
I am not sure. I just had my 25k service done there and it seemed to go OK. They have *three* new service advisors - Mike, Corey & Jason. I have the list of SAs on my rolodex, now crossed off... Ethan, Scott T., Bill
All in all I am still satisfied. But I am not 100% sure they know yet what they are doing. When I ask questions on the phone I hear the question repeated, the answer and then get the answer directly from the SA. I gotta give them some time, I guess.
There is no way in heck I am driving all the way down to Fairfield, though. I was absolutely not impressed with Bill, my previous SA. He always seemed pissed off.

sounds familiar. Didn't i send this to you when i heard you left?

I just had a quite good experience at New Country, lvbltec. 5 days in and they found two parts to replace that i didn't even know were causing problems, and replaced all the parts i knew were. It was a lot of work, four pages of work. Corey and Jason handled it well. Surprise surprise, I frequently got one of them when i called.
I was impressed. Thanks to your warning, I had been prepared for Armageddon.
you used to work at new country or mofc?

I've never been to MINI of Fairfield, but when I see NoNo (Annette) taking her MINI to one-time-horrific Herb Chambers in Boston, and loving how much better everything is than her "local", I have to worry about what it's like down there ...
Glad your visit went well John - anything original left?

They "tried" taking me to court b/c when i left i collected unemplyoment and they came back saying i was fired and didnt deserve the money.
We had a pre-court room talk and after all the BS that came outta there mouth the states attorney couldnt believe how many times they contradicted themselves and saw how i wanted to jump the table n knock him out for trying to make me look like a fool.......I WON. In the end i kept what i received and also sued them for defamation of character b/c they threw my *** in the mud to the state rep controlling this case which was on tape and was total BS . I won that too.
My first visit there, with Bill, he was fantastic -- even ordered an amp ahead of time, based on my explanation of a stereo problem, so that it'd be all ready to go when I got there.
However, post Bill that same problem took 2 more visits cause they kept ordering the wrong stuff / putting in incorrect work orders
Sounds like a super classy operation... ack. Can't wait til my visit this Saturday morning!

Yeah. You should have seen this one new country tech telling me that the WHEEL CLICK was happening because of my CLUTCH, as opposed to the SHAFT I had had replaced in my last MCS. I was happy to get a new clutch at 20k. But to have the tech tell me it was my driving that did in the clutch was really something. Especially as the wheel click resumed within 4 days. I always wondered how this could be explained. Unfortunately that tech abondoned ship before I could ask, but not before he had my axle assembly replaced...
What's amazing is that the BMW techs he left behind have so far performed spectaularly on my car.
