Yes you should pick one up for your MCS.

 

Interesting....one would think that the manufacturer would have thought about this and put something in place to prevent the gunk no??? Any reason not to use a "catch can" (other than risking gunk)?

What is everyone running for tire psi? Both the TPMS and low tire lights were on this morning. Mini recommends 38 psi.

 

I have been debating PSI as well, I'd like to hear more from everyone.

The garage - YES we need to get more info on this and see if it could potentially be a hang-out / work area for us all. I'd be willing to chip in for rent of that space if we could work out something with everyone and be able to use it. Please keep us posted on this! I run 50psi lol but thats cause im on skiis. Keep in mind it was cold this morning an the tpms always goes off in the cold as air condenses.

To anyone interested. Me and a few friends are going to the drag n epping to do one last run before the end of the season. Should be high 70s which will be nice. I know rick an i have some rematching to do. This would be wednesday.

 

As for the garage im going to look at a few other places today. As long as we arent working on projects you guys can gladly come to the garage. I have a 72 spitfire thats getting a full resto along with 64 cadi and my buddies have a few projects. But there will always be time

Yeah I don't have too many lift needs. I think it would be really nice though to at least be able to use it for quick jobs like the rear sway bar I want to install/the occasional inspection to see how things are doing. Maybe a skid plate too for the winter... oh no, I'm already thinking up a huge list!

 

When I put air into the tires the psi was below 30. So I went upto the 38 psi recommended by Mini.

And my MCS is going to Bedford to see about the death rattle again.

Oh I know. I just scare myself sometimes when I think about all these ideas let alone custom parts I want to design and make (engineer for a living) and then look at my schedule and wallet and it makes me sad haha

Well, My MCS is at Mini of Bedford for the timing chain rattle. Jeff put me into a loaner Clubman S for the day.

 

Anyone have access to an injection molding system, a rapid prototyper or carbon fiber manufacturing capabilities?
