That mess happened to my last car. I got hit three different times while parked! Thats why I don't drive my MINI into the city unless I really have too. Metro North all-day in the city.

 

I am dropping Klaus off tomorrow morning to get the royal treatment, which means that I won't be able to make it to LRP

The good news is, he will be better than ever when I get him back. Should hopefully take (no more than) a week.

 

DANG!....that sux. I think I would do the same thing if that happened to me. But I live in the city so I'm already among the crazy drivers....there's no escaping them. And I can't remember the last time I took public transportation...probably get lost

 

I'm lucky because I live right on the Hudson River in Westchester and the Metro North is right there. After getting hit so many times, that was it for me. When you say crazy drivers, thats an understatement. Glad I don't work in the city anymore.

 

iriedevil32 are you going to Lime Rock park, a few of us are going to meet at the BP on Cross Bronx and Rosedale ave. at 8am on Saturday and leave from there via Bronx river parkway to the hutch and the then I 684.
Since you are in Yonkers perhaps you want to join us along the route.

i don't think i can this saturday, i was actually trying to make it work. the next month or two is really busy, all these trips keep happening on days that i already have plans! *cries*

Your car looks great. Is that the vinyl shop in LI? What did you have done? I'm looking to add a CF roof vinyl and I emailed them for cost.

 

Thanks...I did it with the people that are plastered on that pic. Work is decent, but they aren't cheap. my car has a few flaws that I am going to take it back to them in the coming days to make some adjustments. I'm contemplating attempting to do some wrapping work myself, and I started buying some materials to give it a shot. My guinea pig will be my Lotus. I ordered my stripes from someone and am waiting for it to get to me. I also bought some rolls of Anthracite CF and the same color orange on my Mini to try on the Lotus, I'm going to try to wrap some of the interior panels to see how it comes out...

To CF a roof I think is fairly easy, considering it's a flat panel, by the way...BUT I'll let you know how hard it is once I start doing mine!

 

Your car looks great I checked out their website a while ago and am strongly considering using them for my door handles and other small, time consuming pieces.

As for the next run, it's MINI's to the Point on May 18th. A "nice, scenic drive through the Hamptons" was how it was described to me. This will be my first year going.
