Sweet!! Which GoPro did you get?! I'm eyeing the GoPro HD Motorsports Hero, but haven't made a firm decision yet.

I was hoping that I would have had my lowering springs on already, perhaps even a new set of wheels, but all that got pushed back due to some unexpected family emergencies

Oh well...As long as they're on by the summer!

Family is first. I went with the HERO 3 Silver edition, I wanted to get the Sony something, can't remember the model but I saw a comparo with the Hero 3 white edition and the Sony it's very sharp and a lot cheaper but the lack accessories makes the GoPro better in my opinion

Had a great time today at the Hudson Valley Run. All those twisties....I see many suspension mods in the near future!

 

Oh it was awesome! That was the first run I have been on and I was pleasantly surprised how well my CM handled the twists, turns, and accelerations. Great scenery as well. Can't wait till the next run! It's official, I'm an addict!

All I have to say is Wow, Kerry you are a master planner that was an amazing route the battery for my GoPro died at the tower shame because I didn't know that the best part was yet to come I'm new to GoPro so lesson learned I had to record with my old IPhone lol I have to do that route one weekend. Looking forward to the next one :-).

Glad you had a good time. My GoPro only made it to lunch but it just ran out of memory since I forgot to delete the files from my test run. I am sure we will do a similar route at some point this summer so you will have another crack at getting it on video then.

Hello everyone, new to Mini's and would like to come to local meets to get to know the commute and my car. Anything going on this week in NYC?

First, welcome to the MINI vice ...... I mean the MINI life, I hope that you are enjoying your MINI like Vizcat said we should meet soon in the city and have fun. If you want to give your MINI a workout this coming Saturday 4th some of us are going from NYC, NJ, CT etc... To LIme Rock Park in CT we are to meet in Danbury with more MINIs and from there head towards LRP and having lunch along the way the scenic RT7 it's great for driving your MINI and beautiful as well, you'll have a blast, it's a charity event for the make a wish foundation and we will be able to do a parade around the race track there is more info about this on NEMINI.org if you want to see the full details, if you are interested let us know since a few of us are heading out together.
We had a blast on Sunday 21st when we joined the Hudson Valley run, look for videos on YouTube, again welcome and let's get together here in NYC with Vizcat maybe for another midnight run, that was fun but too cold lol

2. Parade laps around Lime Rock Park racetrack

6. NEW THIS YEAR a stop at historic Falls Village

Last year we raised over $1500. Let's try to beat that amount in 2013

Charity: Make A Wish
Cost: $15 per car (all proceeds go to Make A Wish)
Parade Laps around historic Lime Rock Park
Raffles for Hot Laps in a BMW M3
Raffles for some cool MINI stuff

Parade Laps: Are just that. We line up as a group and take a couple laps around the track behind the pace car at a conservative pace

Hot Laps: We raffle off a number of seats in a BMW M3 driven by an experienced instructor. The laps are at racing speeds and are an absolute thrill.

@minibx I'm currently living in Manhattan (LES) & work in BK (north). With that timetable you posted I should be back in time. Leaving at 2:30 is ideal for me, I like to have a cushion.

 

That sounds great, I'll PM you with more info on where we are meeting on Saturday, so far DTH2CHRM,MrRaD,maybe + 1 and myself are Motoring together to the meeting point at the mall in CT. Im hoping that there will be more MINIs from this site that could join us. I'm not sure if Vizcat will join us I hope he does.

Still trying to make it. Some schmuck hit my car while I was on my way to work. Now I have bent metal, no fender/wheel well trim and some horrible scraping noise going on on the right rear. SUX!!!

 

I was so angry when you told me you are OK and that's what matters.
