NYC area MINIs!
Had a great time at the Bear Mountain!
Paul.
US MINI Club founder.
That was a nice little ride up Bear Mt. It was great to meet all of you in person. Sorry I couldn't make the 2nd half to Octoberfest, how was that? Also, who got nailed by the "bear" on the way out near the Pallisades? Ouch!

This coming weekend I'm getting together with the US Mini club in LI for their anual RLI4 which sounds like its going to be awesome. I'm really excited for it, and maybe this time I'll have film for my Vacu-Cam
.
Anyone who came out yesterday and expecially those who couldn't make it should DEF come out for this one.
This is copy and pasted from US Mini Clubs site regarding the run:
"Round Long Island 4
ok new date is October 14.. leaving between 8-8:30
we should get some nice foliage also...
start as will be Airport Plaza in Farmingdale, NY. near the back by the Bagel Factory. Breakfast (lunch) and more important.. Rest Rooms!! (see link below for applebee's)
Drive will head up thru the East Hills.. and yes up Snake Hill Road.. along the north shore out to Port Jefferson where we will have our first... "pit" stop... continuing out on the north fork.. to Greenport and the North Ferry to Shelter Island.
I hope to have a spot for a BYO Lunch on Shelter Island.. only stickler is "pit stops"
afterwards.. take the South Ferry to North Haven and Sag Harbour.. and head down to the south shore... heading down to Dune Road in Westhampton Beach..
then up thru Westhampton.. and out with a stop in Mastic at another "pit stop" basicaly a Boston Chicken or some such..
then Highway driving back to Farmingdale and the Applebee's
Basically this has all... twisty beginnings.. hills.. single lane roads... pretty towns.. water scenes.. 2 ferry trips... beach views.. and higher speed highway.. but hey. that's what we have here rt??
please register at USMINICLUB.COM for this event"

Great pics Paul
Thanks for uploading the images. It was great day to be motoring. I had an idea for NYC based rally. What about following the NYC marathon route? It's not all that long but you do get all 5 boroughs. Needless to say, it wouldn't be easy keeping everyone together.

Anyone interested in going on the Philly Cheesesteak run?
Great photos, TurboMINI, Sorry, once again, that I couldn't make it... I wish I had..
This was posted on M|U (Motoring Underground) and, considering I am really wanting to be a full-fledged member of MINY, I'm going to post it here (also considering it was my b'day yesterday, I just decided I want to have a run like this close to my b'day!)
**What? Philly Cheesesteak Run
**Where? Down the corridors to Philadelphia
**When? Saturday night (probably late) 20-October-2007 (still TBD time)
**Who? Whomever wants to meet and have fun at meet/greet
**Where? Tony Luke's on Oregon Avenue in Philly
MINY Members, M|U East Coast Members (and others who want to share on the fun and good Philly Cheesesteak food)..
You in? I am.. let's get some fun going here.. and meet up with the folks that live in the Philly area or South Jersey area as well. If you live in Connecticut, New York, NY/LI, or New Jersey or anywhere, and would like to join us, we welcome you to do so! Look for updates in this very first post.. let's party in good ol' MINY and M|U fashion!!
