CD MP3 player is driving me nuts

Has anyone figured out how to have an mp3 cd pick up where it left off when you leave the car. I listen to 60 min files and if I stop the car when I get back the file starts at the beginning again.

Also there is no timer so I have no idea where I am and where to fast foward to.

Thanks

I understand your problem. I don't think you can do anything with the CD player. Do any MP3 players work that way?

Maybe use a utility to break up your 60 min. program into parts?

Actually, my Lexus CD player starts at the exact moment it left off. My Volvo restarts at the beginning of a cut. And my Mini is still in a parts bin in England! ARRRRRGGGHHHHH!!

It's getting hard and harder to find a good place to plant my subliminal rants!

An iPod will begin where you left off.

For $100 one could get an iPods shuffle and a chord to connect it to the Aux input.

Does the MP3 player at least remember to keep shuffle on? I will only be listening to music and don't really care if it begins at the beginning, so long as shuffle stays on.

Thats weird that some do it and some dont. I think the aux input on my 07 is an option at least I cant find it I would be happy to plug in the ipod (zune in my case) and problem solved.

On the latest model iPod Shuffle, the shuffle option is a mechanical switch on the edge of the player.

Ipod aux location

it should be located underneath the stack just forward of the cup holders (small storage area). It's in the top part so it's not visible to the eye. I believe it's stock on the MCS.

The MP3 discs in the Mini play like this. If you are out of the car or the stereo is off for 15 minutes or more, the track playing when you left will start over again when yu turn the stereo on again. If it's less then 15 min, the song will start where it left off from. Make sense? This is what I have determined, I listen to alot of MP3's.

I believe the Aux Input is standard on the 07, so there wouldn't be an option. Yeah Zune person! I am too, I have a zune case from vajacases that matches my soon-to-be-delivered Mini.

I've been watching the ipod threads, and looking for a good way to mount Zune and control it. Nothing really meets all my requirements yet...
