radio owner's manual

I just got my car back from some warranty work, which included replacing the radio. The new one is a little different from the old one and I'm trying to figure out if I have an '06 model radio or a remanufacturered '04 radio. Can someone point me to an online owner's manual for the '06 radio or give me some clues as to how to determine what I have?

if you hold the

key between the < and > for 8 seconds after power up the radio you should get the serial number, firmware, ect. etc,...

good luck,

I would like to read the HK manual if someone has an online one. I am trying to figure out if there is a "random" function on the mp3 cds

Link to the only manual known to exist.

It is not a manual for a 2005/2006, they never updated the manual, so no mention about MP3 functionality.

(11/01 print date)

Thanks for the help. I'll be checking things out tonight when I get home from work.

Steve, you've explained how they could have given me a new radio without a new manual. There isn't one...

Right, the only thing they have now for the new '05-'06 H/U is the Fold-out panel card with button instructions.

Okay, here is what the button pushing got me:

SN A0888578
SV 31-05 53
RI 00
GAL 3
FM1 3 -89.3 2 2
DSP0 V25
TP-V 0
AREA USA
AF OFF

I think I need a dictionary...

If I am reading correctly this radio was built in the 31st week of 2005.

Best guesses are below. If anyone has a different idea, please let me know.

SN A0888578 - Serial number, I presume
SV 31-05 53 - danmcg thinks this refers to build date, specifically the 31st week in 2005.
RI 00
GAL 3 - Speed sensitive volume setting
FM1 3 -89.3 2 2 - I don't know what this is, but the last two numbers were constantly changing while I was on that screen. As high as 4 and as low as 1.
DSP0 V25 - I'm guessing this has to do with the Harman-Kardon system, which I do not have.
TP-V 0
AREA USA - radio is set for USA frequencies
AF OFF

This is a signal strength meter.

That's what I thought. One number for each antenna. Do you know which number corresponds to the roof antenna vs. the antenna in the back glass?
