Anyone have Alpine 9835 in stock still?

I know this unit was recently discontinued, but I HATE the glidetouch on the new models. I'm looking to see if anyone has any CDA-9835 units in stock.

Thanks!

Just curious...why the 9835?

The 9847 and 9851 are readily available... both have buttons, not Gluidetouch.

The 9835 is considered the best head unit they ever made.

The 9835 has pretty much all the features of the 9855 minus the glidetouch. The 9851 and 984x series are not as good as the 9835.

If you do a little searching, you will find that many people have issues with it. It breaks fairly often (and the only way to have it fixed is to mail it in and wait for a replacement), is very difficult to use while driving, and its response time is not so hot. It's seems like a good idea in theory, but in practice it doesn't work.

I found one on Ebay. It arrived and is in great shape. It's a fantastic headunit. Far better than the 9855.

Biolite display. I had the CDA-9835 and wish now I had kept it. The Biolite display is really easy to read (night or day) and it (9835) isn't overly flashy. I personally don't care for the new trim of the current models at all.

Not sure about that statement. I think the old school 7909 is pretty hard to beat!
