Axxess AX-BM9112 Wiring Interface

Anyone have one of these installed? It says it retains all the factory features (HK amp, steering wheel buttons, etc).

i’m trying to decipher it myself !!

Not exactly sure why you have to run a positive wire to the battery being that your wiring into a Oem harness !!

And I’m a little confused with the yellow wires you have to tie all three of them together

It’s kind of goofy

Did you make any process

I ordered the AX-BM9112 from Crutchfield and wired it up tonight per directions. I have the HK system, radio turns on, but no sound. The harness isn’t complicated and all wires connected, but there is a whole section of wires from the factory harness that don’t have anything connected to it from the axxess harness. Was kind of hoping there would be more going on in this thread to help figure this out.

I am currently installing the same harness. I found it odd that there are two harness connection points that are not used with the aftermarket harness.

I never did get the steering wheel controls working. I wish I could use it, but it's not like the head unit buttons aren't within fingers touch anyways. I still have the HK EQ button that's in the AXXESS wiring harness hanging out from the bottom, not sure where I want to mount it. I use it because it still sounds better than the head units EQ. I just leave the HU EQ flat and use the HK, but the only downside to it is you don't know which setting it is, you just have to listen for it because it doesn't display like it did on the factory HU.

I seem to be where you were in your original post. I have power but no sound. I'm wondering if the amp is not getting a signal to turn on. I did not connect the Power Antenna wire on the radio. I also couldn't figure out what to do with the female jack from the kit (the one with bare Brown / Brown-White wires). I can see yours is commented to something in your pics but cannot tell what.

Connect the power antenna wire to the red accessory power wire. It seems the amp is activated by the power antenna wire. The brown wire is connected to the steering wheel control wire from the back of my JVC head unit. Which I gave up on getting to work.

I got the same harness. Only draw back was the two buttons on the steering wheel don’t work, but I can adjust volume and change songs.

i’m starting to think
years are getting mixed up

I personally never used the steering wheel control modular
every time you disconnect the battery
you have to reprogram that modular

An those buttons really wasnt a big deal to me

If i remember correctly there are two different harnesses
With amps & with out amps

I had the ‘no sound issue’ as well and yes the problem was the blue power antenna wire (it’s the one that is not connected from the harness) that has to be connected to the red wire.
means you have three wires connected to the red on in the end.
Anyway, it works perfectly now, steering wheel controls as well, thanks for the info

I have this harness and steering wheel volume and channel controls working fine. I have a 2005 R53 with the HK system. Question I have is that from the Kenwood head unit, if I fade to the back speakers I get no sound. So I use turn the fade to just the front speakers from the Kenwood and use the Axxess functions to work the fade front and back speakers. Sounds fine but curious why this is. Seems the factory head unit wiring harness has wiring for front and rear from the factory head unit. Shouldn't the aftermarket head unit be able to control fade?

I believe the HK system controls everything via the amp.

I found a wiring diagram that shows no rear channel inputs to the amp but output for the front tweeters, midrange, and rear speakers. Somehow the rear channel levels are embedded in the two channel output from the head unit.
