If the GPS unit you have allows pictures and start-up graphics, here's one for Mini owners. Maybe some of the "Graphic Artists" on this forum can add more!

Note: To download the file to your computer just open the attachment and then set your mouse screen pointer over the image. Right click the mouse and select "save image".

Edit: I had some additional time this evening to make the images a little better. I think 10Zero had the best presentation (see his post below) so I took his idea and made a "metallic" one...

I have a Garmin Nuvi 205w, couldn't figure out how to do it, so after searching the Garmin support site, here are instructions for Nuvis:

nuvi 300 and 600 series

1. Touch Settings (wrench icon) on the Where To? / View Map screen
2. Touch Display
3. Touch Change...
4. Touch the desired photo
5. Touch the photo again when it expands
6. Touch Yes when prompted "Do you want to save this image as your splash screen?"

nuvi 200 and 700 series

1. Touch Tools
2. Touch Picture Viewer
3. Touch the desired photo
4. Touch the box next to "Display at Power On"
5. Touch Yes when prompted "Do you want to display this image when you power on your unit?"

nuvi 205 and 705 series

1. Touch Tools
2. Touch Picture Viewer
3. Touch the desired photo
4. Touch Info
5. Touch the box next to "Use this photo as the default splash screen"
6. Touch the photo

nuvi 800, 805, 5000, 400, 500 series

1. Touch Tools
2. Touch Picture Viewer
3. Touch the desired photo
4. Touch Info
5. Touch the box next to "Show at startup" or "Display at power on"

nuvi 1200, 1300, 1400, 1600 series

1. Touch Tools
2. Touch Picture Viewer
3. Touch the desired photo
4. Touch the white "i" circle on the left side of the screen
5. Touch the box next to "Display at power on"

The selected photo will be displayed on the screen as the unit powers up.
