When you're on the map screen, in the upper right tool bar is an icon of an arrow pointing to a dot.

Clicking the joystick with this icon highlighted will turn off navigation.

I think you can also go back to the recent address list and click down on the current address- which brings up a context menu that includes an option to stop navigation.

My pleasure! For what it's worth, your post made it into the 1st generation side of the forum. 09's would be 2nd gen- you'd probably get less helpful responses over here.

I push the voice enter button and say (Stop NAV) and he says NAV ended and it stops. I do ask him other things that he seems to not understand but he gets this command. Guess trying to tell him what my day was like is not on his to do list.

edited to say yes this thread is in the wrong spot .. gonna ask my MINI about it I'm sure he will say ( SORRY I did not understand you) and give me a list of OPPS , I'll just yell at him!

Interesting. I never thought to say "Stop Nav". I've always said "Stop Navigation" or "Stop Guidance", which both work, but are longer.

I've wondered if there where any "Easter Eggs" hidden in the Nav or voice control functions. I've tried asking it to "Tell Joke", but that didn't work.
