Garmin Splash Screens

I was updating my Garmin NUVI 660 and made a couple new splash screens. Here they are for everyone to use. PM me if you want the photoshop file and leave me your email address.

To use these, just right click, Save Picture to your hardrive, plug up your GARMIN and drop in the JPEG folder on your Garmin.

These were set up for the Wide Screen Garmins, I don't know how they will fit on a standard small screen Garmin.

Just your everyday MINI logo

"Airborne Mini Special" logo. The Airborne Mini Cooper debuted at the 2006 SEMA show in Las Vegas from Iacono Designs. Pretty cool logo!!

Looks cool. Can you do a JCW with the new logo?

I thought you might be interested to know that these work as a Blackberry home screen, too. Ideally, they would fill the screen, but the Garmin is a wide screen format.

It helps me through the delivery process, though!

OK, I have a 255W. Where do I put this on the unit (as in what folder) and how do I select it to be the splash screen?

On my 680, it goes in the /jpeg/ folder. To select it, again on the 680, click on the wrench, then "Display", and then there's a button for changing the splash screen "Change..."

While you're at it, take a look at http://www.poi-factory.com/ for a great family of GPS users -- they have lists of about anything you're likely to want, ready to load into you nuvi.

Looks like the pictures were hosted on an external site and are no longer there. I had a few but deleted them when I quit using my Garmin (now sold).

Here's the Cooper S one...

I've attaches the Cooper S one I use, hope that helps. (click on the thumbnail and save the image that pops up -- it's the right size for the 4.3 inch screen).

I just downloaded the MINI splash screen. I have the 765T. Changing the splash screen was not under "display" for me. You also may need to do:
Photos
scroll until you see the photo you want as the splash screen
enlarge the photo by tapping on it.
there is the option to make this picture the splash screen in the lower left corner.

fyi.....
