Navigation & Audio Craven iPhone 3G Mounting Kit Install
Craven iPhone 3G Mounting Kit Install
I'm looking to hear from someone who has installed this product to find out how easy it is. I couldn't find a whole lot about the process on the company website, but "you will unbolt your tachometer from the steering column," makes me a wee bit uneasy.
I'm thinking of getting one of the turn-by-turn apps for my iPhone to use it for proper navigation, but can't very well hold it as I'm driving. I've looked at a few different mounting solutions, and the Craven seems like it might put the phone in a better position for this purpose than the ProClip products.
If anyone has good experience with the ProClip (specifically when using the iPhone for nav), I'd be interested in hearing that, too.

If it is the same mount as the Garmin here is my findings....
It's an easy install. the only snages there was was
1. the screws were a bit short and did not seems to thread enough to the tach.
2. This one is a big one... the mount is too thick once installed, if you like to raise you steering wheel all the way up it will rest on the dash and leave a dent on it which will not come out.
It mount looks great and you'll never see the dent but you would think they would have discovered it during R&D.
