Just ordered NUVI 770

Costco.com has Garmin Nuvi 770 for $399.99. 499-100 coupon starts today and ends 1st week of Sept i think.

I just got my Nav unit stolen so I need a replacement... reading some reviews, it guess it does the trick of not getting me lost. I understand features and pros/cons can be unlimited and comes down to personal preference... but i think its a great deal.

Doc--

If you haven't visited:

http://www.poi-factory.com/

I'd suggest you do so. They're almost as good a community as NAM (I say almost the same thing over there about NAM), very supportive -- and you can find out more about your Nuvi than you thought possible.

All sorts of goodies as well, from icons to poi files, you name it. Check out the Garmin boards, the poi files, and the locals who inhabit the place.

Great site, and great community!

Excellent Doc Cooper

Yeah I bought my Garmin nuvi 760 from costco.com back in June when it was on sale for $349.99 and a great investment.

No doubt about that..LOL
From what I recall is that the only difference between the nuvi 760 and 770 is the 770 also includes maps of Europe.

I also customized my nuvi from a thread located in Coupe Talk (2007+) on adding the Garmin NUVI MINI.srf
Link: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...light=mini.srf

And also from the MINI File download page

Thanks for reminding me about this site. Some very interesting news there: Garmin Announces Nuvi 2x5 and 7x5, Free Lifetime Traffic, Lane Assist, 3D Transparent View. http://www.gpsmagazine.com/2008/08/g...ew_nuvi_gp.php Certainly sounds promising!

Doc Cooper since you bought it at Costco.com like I bought mine IIRC there is no limit on returns like there is for cameras,TV's and computers which is 90 days.

So you might as well keep it until October like I plan to do and then exchange it for latest one.

I ordered the Nuvi 755T. It has the lifetime traffic and Lane Assist (which I really like!). It doesn't have bluetooth, but I didn't want that bell/whistle in the first place. It also doesn't have pre-loaded maps of Europe, but I didn't plan on taking my future MCSCL back across the pond anyway!

How much did you pay for that model?
