Navigation & Audio Aftermarket Antenna Question

Aftermarket Antenna Question
Hello All,
I'm getting ready to take delivery of my new Factory JCW and thinking about window tints. I've been told that metallic tints will interfere with antenna reception for my Nav, and I don't know if it will also interfere with Sirius.
If I get an external antenna, will that aleviate the problem? Is there one antenna that works for both Nav + Sat?? I know nothing about these things so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Don't forget that the MINI comes with external antennas for both SAT and NAV (whether you order those options from the factory or not) which are part of the regular AM/FM antenna on the back roof. The cable for the SAT antenna terminates under the passenger seat and there are extension cables available (do a search for SAT Antenna on here and you'll find all sorts of information.) Most people use that antenna with the extension cable for their aftermarket Sirius or XM installation. I don't know where the NAV antenna terminates.

Another aftermarket antenna (OT)
Yeah, it's off topic, but I had to do it...
Here's my aftermarket antenna on my R56 Mini:
It's a Cushcraft R8, which is 28.5 feet high, not counting the 8 foot mast it's attached to! We used this as one of three antennas for the Field Day amateur radio contest, June 28-29 2008.
This antenna covers ham radio bands from 3.6MHz to 54 MHz. From our site in Northern California, I used this antenna to work other ham radio stations from Alaska to Hawaii and south Florida to Maine.
It is kind of hard to drive with, though!
