OEM MINI Garmin Nuvi Mount RIGHT SIDE

So, I picked up a Garmin Nuvi 360 on boxing day for a great price (140) and want to get the OEM mount to intergrate it into the car. The only problem is that it mounts to the left of the steering wheel which I don't like. It seems silly but I'd much rather have it on the right hand side of the steering wheel. I've been unable to find this part on realOEM to see if the mounting point can be flipped or not to accomadate right side mounting or if I'll end up with an upside down GPS. After thinking that it might not be reversible I wondered if the UK version might be on the other side. I searched MINI2 and found a picture confirming that one does exist. YES!!! So, is the US mount reversible? If not and I purchase the UK version is the wiring going to be different and thus incompatible with my Canadian car? Here's the US part # for the MINI NUVI mount that I'm talking about: 6590 0428 284
Does anyone have the UK part #?

I feel the same way about this mount, if it was mounted on the other side it would be perfect. I do not believe this mount is reversable. My thinking is that it was designed for UK use & we get the same part here which puts the Nuvi on the wrong side of the wheel. If your mount was used in a UK right hand drive car it would be the way you like.

Yeah...

I just don't want to go and buy the UK mount only to find out that the wiring is different. Does anyone know if this will be an issue?

Is this a part that can be fitted to R53 with chrono pack? If so, where can i get it? What does it intergrate with? i.e. what's the wiring harness for?

The wiring harness is simply to remove the need for a cord to attach a the cigarette lighter. Clean power install.

I would also like to know if this will work with a widescreen Nuvi like a 660 model?? I saw the other mount people are using but if I can avoid taking my dash apart I will.

From all the info I've read on this, it won't work with the wider Nuvi's....6XX, 7XX or 8XX plus the power pins are in different locations.....there are other options out there....I'm still trying to find a "hardwire" setup that will mount to my Nuvi 650....

The OEM mount won't work with the widescreen Nuvis for two reasons. First, the number/location of the pins in the electrical connection are different, and second, there's not enough space between the mount and the gauges to fit the wider Nuvis.

I just went with the Kuda dash-mount for my 660 and have been very happy with it.

get a Kuda mount that goes on the dash. It sits just to the left of center of the center speedo.

I use it with a 660 and love it. I don't have pics at the moment because the car is in the shop, but can post some if you can't find it.
