I think that a component speaker is a good choice for 6.5" spot because it is where the bass goes. No point in having a built-in tweeter in that speaker.
Seems to me that replacing the 3.5 (actually I put a 4" there because the 3.5" speaker was too small) with just a tweeter would lose a lot of the mid-range. You would then only have the rear 6x9s for mid-range, and you don't say anything about replacing them. However, a number of people have replaced the 3.5 with a tweeter and seem to like it.

what ever you replace them with, you better pull the door panel off first to see what you got, 3.5 in speakers will not fit in the holes, aim closer to a 4 in.
If you really want 3.5 i have a brand new set I couldnt return.....I trusted some peoples measurements and they are completely wrong.
ANY Aftermarket speaker will be a huge improvement from the stock garbage.

sub in the rear
That's what I was thinking.
What dp you think about replacing the woofer and leaving the stock 3.5's (or what ever they are) and adding the tweeter from the component set. Do you think i have enough power to drive all those speakers without adding an amp?
I have good base from a power sub woofer i added in the rear last week.

I have the HIFI option, so I used 2 ohm Infinity Kappas. You need 4 ohm.
One thing to watch out for is speaker sensitivity. If you just swap the 6.5, and leave the 4" as stock, the 4" may be a lot louder than the new 6.5. The Pioneer TS-A1702C only have a sensitivity rating of 90 db. My Kappas are around 95 db and are not as sensitive as the stock speakers seemed to be.
It might be best to go with a particular line of speakers and stick with them, so they are voice matched.
