Ok Mike, how many amps do you have in your car ?! Have you tried placing one in the left back compartment? Looks like you have one installed above the back battery, I get crazy whine noise when my amp is anywhere near that spot, how did you avoid this? Or, is your car not an S?

Not had any interference problems with amp above battery - allways used kenwood though.
Have fitted amps in both side cubby holes no problem - will post some pics mid install for you

Mike, what would you say are the largest dimensions an amp can be, and sill fit in one of the side compartments, and under the seats? Thanks!

Anyone have an aftermarket amp installed with a Mini containing the Boost CD head unit and the OEM navigation system?

This is an older thread but here is my trunk installation just in case it sparks any ideas for aspiring installers. This was my first time working with fiberglass and I think it turned out pretty good. Also, as far as previous comments, yes engine noise from grounding issues is common. Start with seperating your RCA's as much as possible from your power and ground wires. I had grounding issues and all I had to do is bunch up my wires in a more orderly manner and seperate the RCA's and it seemed to do the trick. If you are putting your amps in the trunk try to get a little more seperation between the battery and your amp, I have a 1/8" board that the amp (lower amp) is attached to in addition to the original flooring underneath it.
