Which Kuda Add-On for my Garmin Nuvi 650 GPS

I've searched the forums and learned that really my best option to mount my Garmin 650 is using the Kuda mount (item # 292445)...my questions are:

1. Which Garmin Kuda Add-on is better, what's the difference?

This One or This One

2. What else, if anything, do I need to purchase to mount my GPS?

Thanks for the help!

I had the same questions. It was a coin toss. I ended up getting the first one (CNM21) thinking that it looked like it had an adjustable hinge even though there reallly is no reason to. Anyway, it is not adjustable. In retrospect, I like the cleaner look of the second one (CNM22). Here's mine and bjacobso's install pics to compare (sorry, mine is with the Garmin mount on but you can still see the difference of the base):

hmm, interesting that they would make two add-ons without any real differences...thanks for your input

I think I would go with the second one the (CNM22) also. The reason being is appears to have a cover to hide the mounting screws. There is a close up with a MINI on the KUDA site if you click the enlarge button below the picture of the CNM22, Good Luck...

There's a lot of room in there...anything is possible if you fabricate mounts and brackets to hold it all.

Do you have the Nav with your car? Kuda makes a different one for cars with OEM Nav, which isn't listed on their website.

The Kuda mount you ordered will fit just fine then.

I got the kuda mount and add-on in the mail today!!!!! Should I screw the add-on directly in the center of the mount? This one appears to be placed higher than the pic above by lacning74 http://img45.imageshack.us/img45/8513/80354492rl4.jpg

1. How does the Kuda mount attach to the dash?

2. How do you like the 650 -- Pros & Cons?

3. Thanks.

Center works for me. I guess some people want it higher to clear the steering wheel. My OCD forced me to mount dead center. If you want, play around with some double-sided tape mounting your Garmin before you commit.

Cool idea, but it would be tricky where to run the cord afterwards especially since it is kind of thick. Also the ends are very bulky.

I ordered the CNM22 and mounted it a little higher. I then drilled a hole below it to feed the power wire through. I left about 1.5 inches of wire with USB connector on it. Looks very clean.

I'm still debating whether to do this, do you have any pics? I'd love to see how yours came out....
