Bluetooth pairing with Sprint Motorola Q?

Has anyone succeeded in pairing their Mini's bluetooth with a Sprint Motorola Q? I can successfully pair the phone wit the Mini - ie. I get through the step of entering a passkey into the radio interface. However, after that, the Mini does not recognize that the phone is paired. On my Motorola, I can see the Mini's bluetooth connection as active.

If anyone has encountered this situation with a different model phone, and was able to solve it, I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

My Verizon Moto Q works in my MCS. The only feature I don't have is the voice dialing. If I use the buttons on the stereo I can find names and numbers but when trying to use voice dialing I'm told that there are no entries in the phone book.

Hate to revive an old thread, but I recently switched back to my old Motorola Q (w/ Verizon), and I was able to successfully pair the phone with the car, however none of my contacts are showing up in my phone book in the car. I can receive calls in the car, and make calls using either the phone or the digit dialing through the car, but still no contacts. I've tried sending my contacts from the phone via bluetooth to the car, but it hasn't worked. Any ideas??

Take a nice long drive it can sometimes take as much as 3-4 hours for the first transfer if you have a lot of contacts (100+)

Thanks for the tip, I've got 50-something contacts, however this is the 2nd day with the phone being paired to the MINI and still no success. Any more suggestions?

The first time 5-6 times I paired an old Motorola it did not take the 250+ contacts. It took 1 LONG ride to get it all there the first time.

The way it seems to work is that it starts new each time until all the contacts are saved in the car. Then after that it only takes in changes so the updates are much faster.

That makes sense, I'll keep trying! Thanks so much

You'll might try the voice dial setup in this thread.

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...oice-dial.html

Back with the 07 models if the car didn't have Nav you had to program the voice dialing as detailed in the link above. With Nav and it would voice dial without any setup. With the newer system in todays cars I don't know if that's still true or not.

I noticed with a new iPhone 4S my 07 didn't voice dial the first day, but after that it voice dials as good as the old Razr it replaced, without any setup.
