As far as I am aware no. The factory fitted nav isn't available for retrofit and even if it was it would be horribly expensive.

Agree with Rastven. It would be way expensive if possible. Try this unit, many dealer offer http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...egoryID=102603

I just had the portable nav installed in my new pepper white mini. It wasn't cheap, around $900. However, it was worth every penny. It's rather unobtrusive and it works very very well. Only problem is you can't hear the directions with the windows down. So if you need turn by turn in a city setting, you have to roll up the windows.

That looks like the car at Sterling MINI with the JCW engine kit! I got to drive it a while back.

The factory nav does more than just give you directions. A lot of the car's functions, options, and settings are accessible through the nav display. If you say you have to have the nav I would think twice before getting one without. Because it is very likely that it can't be added later and you will be kicking yourself for not getting it.

Just my 2 cents from personal experience. I opted to get every option that I liked and have not regretted it one bit. This car is amazing and I wouldn't have made it any other way.

To install the OEM NAV in a MINI, you simply replace the MINI.

Add-on GPS systems are available, but don't have all the integration that the OEM NAV has. The audio (radio, iPod, CD, etc.), bluetooth phone, and many of the OBC settings are integrated into the NAV screen and controls.

So, you are going to buy a JCW that everyone has thrashed in test drives, probably before it completed the 1,200 miles break-in period -- brave man!

everyone probably drove it pretty hard in the test drives, i.e. to redline and such. for a new MINI, they usually recommend 1200 miles @ no higher than 90 mph, 4500 rpm

I've had two unchaperoned test drives at dealerships and both times I certainly did NOT follow the break in instructions. Both of these cars had less than 100 miles on them when I gave them a thorough flogging. I returned the cars with a distinct smell of burning brakes and tire rubber. . . .

Chances are that your sweet new MINI has been similarly treated if it has been used as a dealer demo.

It was a blast to drive... but do you really want to buy the one that everyone was abusing? I drove it when it only had 150 miles on it and I wasn't exactly following the break-in instructions......

Just be patient, and order the Mini with all the features that you want. Dont buy a dealer demo. The ordering experience is both interesting and very rewarding. Makes you appreciate the car more when its delivered to you. Your Mini will have about 2 or 3 testing miles on it.

Well I went back and found out they were not selling it and only using it as a demo. Its up to about 450 miles now. heheeh. And ofcourse I added my bit of abuse to it as well. Wow!!! I have a BMW 335i twin turbo and I honestly believe it would blow my BMW out the water at least for the first quarter mile. I was plastered to the seat.

I went ahead and had one built.
I might add the salewoman was a looker and she was very helpful and the nicest person to do business with.

Was it Lauren or Robin? Both of them helped me when I purchased my mini.
