Has anyone heard of someone doing modification to their NAV system to play a DVD movie?

Yeah I listened to my tech loving geek side... to the tune of some empty pockets. Now hopefully the install goes ok and they dont blow my wire harness or something.

$1300 installation included. Very steep.

I have the Pioneer AVIC-90 DVD and it plays DVDs too. Too bad I have to take out the Nav DVD to play DVDs.

Hey Ants,

Let me know how the TV Tuner works out. I was thinking of it since I have 1 extra video output. I just hear mixed results of the TV Tuner. Might be handy when the next American Idol season comes out. Only way I was thinking of getting TV is if there was cable, hahaha. But yeah, let me know if the reception and everything works out well.

Hummmm.... $1300 bucks would buy a nice TV (particularly one more than 6" measured diagonally), DVD player, speakers, receiver...and perhaps even something left over for a comfy chair...IN YOUR HOUSE. Where, btw, it would be particularly more difficult to kill yourself or kill someone else by getting distracted from the driving task at hand.
