SIRIUS Install

I just wanted to show off a few pictures of my Sirius radio install. I thought this unit looked the best out of those available today. I would like the orange to be a little darker (to match the dark oem lights) but its close enough i guess, and looks better than the blue units. Right now I have the receiver plugged in via FM direct wire. I'm not crazy about this connection because I have always used RCA, but I want to keep the Factory H/U, so I guess i'll just have to deal with the poorer sound quality until I figure out a better solution. (I know my interior is nasty, lol. I've been putting in 60+ hour work weeks, and tomorrow will be my first day off in forever, so I promise i'll get it clean then haha)

I don't think I have one of those..I have an 04 MCs. I just bought an 06 factory H/U to gain mp3 capabilities(not installed yet), but it still has no aux input.

you can get the aux adapter for about $40 and install it yourself.

this aux adapter, if i get one, does this rule out the ability of getting an icelink or Dice module and using an ipod?

Nope. The iPod adapters tie in to your CD changer cable, which is completely separate from the Aux input connector on the back of the head unit.

thanks for the fast reply. I wish the goobers at best buy would have told me this beforehand. I guess they dont sell the aux adapter, so they choose not to mention it.

Looks good. I went OEM, and installed myself. Cost alittle (ok alot) more, but keeps it looking really clean.

Best Buy does not sell the aux port, and probably never heard of it. Outmotoring has it for $40. http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...pod_mp3_hookup

Installation is a snap. I did one for a friend over coffee one morning. Took me all of 15 minutes, maybe, in the parking lot of a Starbucks.
