Bluetooth phone system

I have done a search on here, but it took a long time for them to activate my account. Anyway, I have ordered a bluetooth phone kit for my MINI from eurocarphone.... does anyone have any experience with it?
I hae found many many references to them in Mercedes and BMW forums in google, but none here.
Please let me know your experience. I just ordered it today, but may be to late to cancel if it is no good.

Is your MINI NAV-equipped? If so, we have a kit here:

No, I don't have navigation. It looks like this kit is pretty cool. Uses the steering buttons and all. I just hope it works.

yes, I used to fly a Malibu. About 2500 hours in it. But when Avgas topped 6 bucks a gallon, I sold my baby, and bought another baby, a Ferrari. I can buy a lot of first class tickets on Delta or AirTran for the cost of fuel and maintenance at those gas prices. I started when AvGas was about 2 bucks a gallon. 6.30 is the current local price.....whew!

Sounds similar to our bluetooth MFSW system
Looks like they are selling for $479
Ours is £140 but on the current NAM offer is £125 which works out around $250 plus shipping of £12

Hmmm, this thread is interesting.

I have the Parrot From Mikey and it works great. I do have NAV and there is no interface with NAV on this version but it is voice activated and uses the steering buttons. Cost? About $250 like Mikey said.

I found this yesterday.

http://www.bimmernav.com/store/catal...roducts_id=119

The interesting thing is that it is only $450 and does everything that the EAS system does at $850

I noticed that many of the pics are the same..... That is a bit odd. $450 does seem a lot more reasonable for this technology if you ask me.

Has anyone bought this unit from Bimmernav?

Tom, has your technology been lifted?

We know the bimmernav team very well, enough that they are even using our pictures. Click the "NAV" attribute and you will see the price jump $400.

The $450 kit they are offering is the handsfree kit from MINI, the ULF alone on our kit is $495. As you very well know, the kits are very different.

Definetly didn't see that, thanks for pointing that out. I just wanted to make sure that you guys weren't being ripped off.

$850 it is then... Still way to rich for my pockets but not a bad solution for those that want it.

I have the factory $1200.00 system. It works.

Came wth the used car. Uses the BMW sleeves. Each sleeve is $150.00 and restricts the range of which phones you can use. To accommodate the old sleeeve in the car I opted to buy a two year-old oldskool phone (Nokia 6230i). It works fine but the phone is stone-age at this point.

Yeah, I have heard that it is not that great and I have seen it in a X3 as well. Not really impressed.

Tom's solution is much more impressive overall.

The Parrot solution with Mikey's setup works very well if you don't care about NAV integration.

I finished installing the system from eurocarphone last night. It plugged right in and worked just as advertised. I had to call them about pairing, but they helped me in about a minute.... overall I am pleased!

http://www.eurocarphone.com is where I found my stuff

Wow... Is that a Parrto EVO? If it is, they way overcharged you. Mikey sells that very kit for about half that pirce. Mikey's complete kit is 140 Pounds ($284.00) where you paid $480 USD!

I basically bought the one from eurocarphone because the are stateside, offered quick local support, money back guarantee, and just simply easier to deal with.

Mikey is all that (minus the stateside) PLUS! Honestly if you have never dealt with him I can understand the fear of buying overseas, but he is recommended on many forums. I got tech support from Mikey when I didn't even buy from him! He is top notch.....

That being said, how do you like your system?
