MCSa + MTH

Just curious how many people have MTH on their MCSa? Tuner or Standard? What are the big changes you noticed?

I have the Tuner now...started off with the original version before they made the Tuner. Both are great. The Tuner version is well worth the $$ if it's in your budget.

With the Standard version the car is generally crisper all around. There's more low end torque but it's not a night and day difference - really just makes the car more drivable and more responsive at low RPMs. There's more power across the band but it's not revolutionary, just quite welcome.

With the Tuner there is a LOT more power all around. Everything is great on it - lots more low end torque, more high end power as well.

Supposedly there's a difference in when the DSC kicks in with MTH software but I wouldn't know as I have mine turned off via Ian's great addon circuit.

The only thing I would note is that though the MTH software increases the engine RPM limit from 6750 to 7250(?) you won't see this with the automatic. The software for the automatic forces an upshift at 6750 unfortunately. I'd REALLY like to see MTH change this!!! Even if it's just to 7000 RPM! I'm told that the Dinan software does this but I don't know if that's true or not.

Awesome! Thanks for the info Gary.

I was wondering about the rev limiter, and I agree, I hope MTH can raise it on the MCSa.
