Real world dyno results

I hope I'm not missing it somewhere, but I have yet to see a dyno chart showing WHP and WTQ with the tuner file.

I'm glad to see MTH is jonny on the spot fixing issues that come up for people, like the recent flat spot fix for example.

I know hurricaines have delayed the offer MTH-USA has to dyno run anything at the moment. I'm just coming to the point where I'd like to pull the trigger on a software solution sometime in the next 4 months, and I'm hoping someone can show what this highly regarded and affordable solution is really doing here in the states. Ideally I'd like to see numbers on a car with a 15% sc pulley, a decent cai, and possibly a crank pulley. (My car essentially. lol) oh yes... and on 93 octane.

Can anyone help?

this is the a/f, the blue one is the mth car (ie. me)

no crank pulley pulls yet... but after i put the header, and update my mth to suit the new mods... ill post another dyno... im praying to hit the magic 190whp

If you can get those .drf files from the place that dyno'd you. Be sure to set the x-axis to RPM (Engine Speed), so its alot easier to reference.

you have a 6.39 hp delta and 9.97 torque delta - are these soley based on blue = mods but no mth and red = mods plus mth?

nope, both lines are with mth, the blue is the first run with engine relatively cool, with very little cool down between run 1 and run 2

so with all of your mods you added 20 hp (183-163 = 20) ? perhaps its the octain but isn't that a bit light for the mods that you have?

More than 20 hp bro, a stock S is around 144 at the wheels. 183 is impressive for simple bolt on mods! -- Johan

I dont' have MTH, but you need to compare apples with apples. The 163HP is MINI/BMWs claim at the flywheel, whereas this plot is 183HP at the wheels--a whole lot more HP!!! If we use the 11% efficiency losses attributed to the MCS, then you're talking over 200HP at the flywheel--thats about 24% increase in HP at any point in the system--WooHoo! I'm at about 20% increase with a Unichip.
Good One...

cheers,

Okay, I'm with the numeric program now! I new something was wrong.

So its 206.08 - wow. This just encourages me to keep modding.

thanks for the very kind comments! now it really gets me fired for 190 whp!

this does show the awesome power of the mth though, the best to compare the a/f with the stock cars (all other cars in the a/f graph has stock ecu, cept the purple line, which is an 05 JCW

Kryiian,

Other respected members of Nam seem to find your dyno plots impressive... I think they look fine, but I'm not very experienced at reading them and my monitor is smallish. Do they tell us how much power you had before MTH with those mods...and how much after? I guess that's the real issue I'm trying to sort out.... how much the MTH file brings to the dyno.

the issue here is that i never dynoed how much power my car had prior to any of the power mods... so the best indication of how well mth performed is through the a/f graph

better a/f = better hp, comparing to the 2 cars running jcw (burgundy and purple lines), and the 05 stock software (green line), the mth is significantly better than any of the oem software, and on a ecu standpoint, a/f is probably the significant factor to get hp... (at least that's what i was lead to believe)

Ok... hmm.. well, not being remotely familiar with how the a/f looks to know if it was making more power or not... I'm hoping someone else can post a before/after dyno plot.

Worst case senario...I can pony up the money find out myself.
