dinan program with my other mods minus the header got me 172hp.. the most i reicieved with the tuner/header combo is 168.. not good..

i'm working with MTH to tune my car further.. i will post update dynos when i can..

peace

NO KIDDING on rich, huh? Holy!!!! Ok, well, it's their header and they write the software, both of which are NOT cheap, so they better make good by you. I am sorry to see, but you've very well hit the nail....that's richer than...a stock MCS [lol!] .

Seems to me the motor is close to stock....

readily reveals that this car is completely gutted and modded beyond what you're implying. Here are the mods, according to the site:
Engine / gearbox
M7 Enlarged Throttle Body
CST "RALLY" Remap (Courtesy of MTH Cartune)
CST/MTH Exhaust manifold
Standard Gearbox

Leda Forest Spec. Suspension
spherical front top mounts
1.5 degs - 2.0 degs negative camber.
Spax Tarmac Spec. Suspension-
adjustable for height, bump and rebound
Nylon rear top mount bushes
Eibach 2.25I.D. / 225lb springs at the front - Forest
Eibach 2.25I.D. / 150lb springs at the rear – Forest

Wheels-
15" Alloy wheels with Yokohama Gravel tyres – Forest
17" Alloy wheels with Michelin cut slick tyres – Tarmac

Extra`s-
Full roll cage
Carbon/Kevlar competition seats, sabelt quick release harnesses
Vertical hydraulic handbrake, Cockpit adjustable brake bias
Plumbed in fire extinguishers for cockpit and engine
Interior and exterior battery isolator switches
Alloy sump guard , Kevlar tank guard
Polycarbonate under body protection
Polycarbonate windows
Front strut brace

The car is completely gutted (massive weight savings) and has polycarb windows. It also seems to have a custom 'rally' ECU tune. I really don't feel that posting a clip of that car without revealing the above is fair. It certainly gave me a false impression.
it only has an M7 TB besides the MTH stuff. The rest is handling and weight savings, sure that does improve the P/W ratio, but the motor doesn't have much difference. You're right, it's not apples to apples, but then never was claimed to be. It's not like there's a hidden bottle of nitrous anywhere...... The Kevlar stuff saves weight, the roll cage adds some back...

And for what it's worth... I've had MTH for a long while and have ordered the tuner file. I have an OBX header, and a GTech performance meter. Since I can upload any file easily, when I get it you can expect some GTech data (Wideband too). It's not absolute value, but I'm perfectly happy to post dyno runs that don't show what I paid for (look at my TB posts for an example), so if you all hold your horses, there will be more numbers to debate.

i was runing 91 octane, miltek cat-back, alta intake(stock hose) and dinan stage 3 programing.. it worked well... i imagine with the dinan prgramiing and mth header i'm up there at 180hp or more..(butt dyno says so) hopefully with the new files i'll get even more...

i have the new files.. i'm just waiting for the car..

I dont thingk you understand what i was trying to say, i have been in the rally car pre, and after having the manifold done and its a massive difference. The mods eg throttle body were also fitted before the manifold. The video clip was purely so you could hear the sound of it.

If you Put the rally car on the rolling road, all them weight savings wouldnt have made a difference any way to what power it pulls from the engine.

Cheers

Simon

no, i havent experienced the flat spots described in that posting with MTH tuner file..(mind you, my the old tuner file wasnt fully tuned to my car anyway) 3-4krpm, the car feels very strong. the torque is flatter than other places.. accleration is constant.. (super charged engines feel very linear in acceleration compared to turbo charged engines)..i really wasnt expecting more than a GAINT flat spot for a torque curve anyway,..

we shall see if a serious flat spot occurs. my car seems very strong from the factory. maybe i'm just lucky..

peace..

FYI,

Dynapack dynos are fairly common for tuners. It's a load based dyno (actually several of them) that bolt directly to the hubs. The results aren't directly comparable to dynos that leave the wheels/tires on (like a Dynojet or Mustang) since they encounter different losses. But, for people doing actual tuning, they work pretty well and are arguably safer than other dyno types (not that any properly operated dyno is unsafe).
