One of my customers has one of these MTH Manifolds and ECU Remap combo on his MINI COOPER Rally car...the difference....well night and day !!

Its transformed the car sooo much its unreal....so much power than anything ive ever felt before. Ive been in MINIs with so called performance manifolds etc but this is amazing.

I went on the Cheviot Rally in Scotland last weekend to help out with the rally team and also to make sure the car ran fine with the remap and the manifold. With some really rough terrain and tricky roads the car was faultless. The extra torque from the file and manifold really helped with the exteme hilly areas (which scotland is renowned for) The sound it produces is mesmorising!

Does he want power figures to prove the product does anything...no not really...he wants good results and the feeling its making a difference is certainly apparent to him, myself, his team and his stage times. He was struggling for grip most of the time

Awesome powerful/reliable product guys !

I already gave my bet: less than 190 whp MAX without a pulley. I'm thinking 185. At least at the 2 dynos I have used. I wanna see what you get, though . Good luck.

Any word? Either way, I hope you're happy with the setup ...even 185 would be pretty sick. Must have gotten a lucky car .

for 1400 u'd expect some decent results..

thinking about it.. ur basically paying $1000 for a header alone!

Exactly. I am curious how this will compare to the cheaper option of just tuner file tuned for a header like the Milltek. Certainly they won't 'tweak' the file if you've got a Milltek such that the performance is worse....?

even if they did that (not claiming they are of course) how would u know?

The only thing is to trust they dont do that (and im sure they dont), and accept the fact that they probably did some serious R&D work in designing and producing the exhaust header.

U can not compare a Milltek with our header. Totally different products, different cats, different build quality. And ours is the only one that is TÜV approved. There is a reason that nobody else has this. The file that comes with it will also not work with any other header.

We do not "down tune" the file when a customer is using another header. This is not how we like to do business.

Btw, price is 818 Euro excl. VAT and shipping. That comes to approx. US$ 980. Shipping to the states is 85 Euro (US $ 102).

@marvinthemanic
Nope, can not be done w/o cat.

so if ur sayin' that a milltek header will not peak out performance wise, (w/ur file) will a milltek Cat-bak exhaust affect ur power gains....i feel i may have asked this but any who!?!? what exhaust was used to test header & file?

I do not wish this to be anything but a comment, but I'm a bit disappointed in the way you're marketing this package by referencing the above car. A quick look at http://www.essentialmini.co.uk/RALLY.htm
readily reveals that this car is completely gutted and modded beyond what you're implying. Here are the mods, according to the site:
Engine / gearbox
M7 Enlarged Throttle Body
CST "RALLY" Remap (Courtesy of MTH Cartune)
CST/MTH Exhaust manifold
Standard Gearbox

Leda Forest Spec. Suspension
spherical front top mounts
1.5 degs - 2.0 degs negative camber.
Spax Tarmac Spec. Suspension-
adjustable for height, bump and rebound
Nylon rear top mount bushes

Eibach 2.25I.D. / 225lb springs at the front - Forest
Eibach 2.25I.D. / 150lb springs at the rear – Forest

Wheels-
15" Alloy wheels with Yokohama Gravel tyres – Forest
17" Alloy wheels with Michelin cut slick tyres – Tarmac

Extra`s-
Full roll cage
Carbon/Kevlar competition seats, sabelt quick release harnesses

Vertical hydraulic handbrake, Cockpit adjustable brake bias
Plumbed in fire extinguishers for cockpit and engine

Interior and exterior battery isolator switches
Alloy sump guard , Kevlar tank guard
Polycarbonate under body protection
Polycarbonate windows

Front strut brace

The car is completely gutted (massive weight savings) and has polycarb windows. It also seems to have a custom 'rally' ECU tune. I really don't feel that posting a clip of that car without revealing the above is fair. It certainly gave me a false impression.

I was not aware that TUV approval meant anything regards to engine performance. I looked at http://www.dieselchiptuning.com/catalog/faq.php and saw the following regarding TUV approval:

TUV approval means the product complies with legal exhaust-emissions standards. TUV testing includes:
· The use of quality materials in the manufacture of a given product in the automotive sector
· Emissions standards are of a similar nature of the original manufacturer
· No danger of the product in fitting or in use
· Power and economy stated figures are accurate and are not misleading

It seems pretty neat, that TUV approval is given when a part performs as it should. What power figures did MTH provide the TUV approval board before getting TUV approval? TUV approval does not, in itself, though, say that it makes the most power...

Well theres been around 5 or so people who have said they'd have a dyno "in a few days" but they never showed up. Maybe they got the dyno and didn't see the numbers like were looking for or maybe it was so good that they are out motoring? haha who knows, i've stopped waiting
