Congrats on the sponsorship! Now if we can get a final, clear posting on MTH prices and procedures - you'll have a rush of business!

Recent turn around time has been up to 5 days. Files can be received sooner.

Yep, a nice clear procedure would be nice. I just get lost trying to read through the endless pages of the support thread.

To clarify MTH-USA.com is not MTH-Powerchip.de

I'm pretty sure this is within the limits of the rules, but if not, Mods, please promptly delete this post.

MTH-USA not the same as MTH-Powerchip.de

I am MTH-USA and am an independantly owned and operated entity that sells MTH products. I am one of the few authorized MTH agents.

ok, now I am really confused. the sponsor logo up top brings me to the de site.

You should jot down a simple procedure in out line form so that your newb customers who wants to try can get a clear step by step.

Thanks for the turnaround time... too much variation. can the MTH-USA
make it consistent 24hours? buy harness today, get it tomorrow, get
software with the package or email reply....something like that?

I might able to add a little. I ordered the tuner software and cable a couple of days ago from the US site. Prior to placing my order, I traded a few emails with both Patrick (US) and Volker (Germany). From what I've been able to gather, the US site is acting as an agent for the German company. My understanding is that all files sent through the US site will be delivered to Germany for the programming. With the current exchange rates, it is cheaper to order from the US site than from the German site. I've received very prompt responses to my questions from both the US and Germany. The files have already been emailed to me, but I don't expect the cable to arrive until next week. I haven't gone through the download/programming/upload procedure yet, but can post my experience with the procedure and results if anyone is interested.

gobble- thanks for the info.

I want to know the step by step on how to order it, not so much how
to upload the software onto the car. I think the de site did a good job
on the procedure for the upload/download portion.

for those that already use it, im sure it's 2nd nature to you all, but for
a newb i donno wat i need to order or prepare.

MTH-Powerchip.de is the sponsor, not me, which is why their banner points to their site. I was trying to clarify some confusion that my site has brought.
As far as turnaround times, If you're local, I can get you set up within a day or two, if you're out of the Houston area, it will take a little longer.

Ordering for me was as simple as adding the tuner software and cable to my shopping cart and entering my credit card information.

I sent my stock map to MTH De. On Monday, got the tuner file back early Wednesday Morning. Loaded it before my drive into work.

I would tell you all about how nice the Tuner File is, but as my commute is less then 2 miles, I did not get a chance to test it out.

I have a dynojet 5 minutes from my house that I visited several times when I was tuning the supercharger on my NSX. I'm thinking about doing a before and after dyno. Would MTH be interested in picking up part of the bill if I post the results? I would think unbiased dyno numbers would be a hell of a way to promote your product if the results are good.

Buy cable or make one. Doesn't matter which.
Get software and install it. The hardest part is getting the com port set up to work. It's hit an miss. I have three laptops, the one with win98 works best. My USB to serial doesn't work at all.
Download stock map.
E-mail in .org and .min files.
Get back .mth file.
Upload .mth (this is the only step that needs the keycode).
I reset my ECU here....
1) Hold down odo reset button.
2) Turn car to on position.
3) push reset button till you get to 19.
4) wait for it to cycle on and off, click the reset button on the "off" cycle.
5) Push the reset button to scroll through the tests and diagnostics till you get to 21.
6) push the reset again to get into 21. You may have to push one more time for the reset.

This will clear pretty much everything in the ECU except for items that need a factory reset (some initial sensor and subsystem learning)...

Drive and smile. Oh, I forgot, unplug the computer before you drive off!

Matt
