Hotel for MUTA confirmed

Ok folks,
We got a hotel for MUTA.

Holiday Inn Express

1515 N HWY 191
Moab, UT 84532

(435) 259-1150

Group name: Mini's Under the Arches (make sure to say the whole phrase)

Rates are as follows and are per night,

$110.00 - Standard room (King or 2 queens)
$120.00 - Suite (King or 2 queens with Fridge and microwave)

This is not our official meeting place quite yet for our Group-and-Runs. We have a parking lot we may be able to use. Feel free to start booking elsewhere if you'd like, but this is where most of the Mini folk will be staying.

Thanks again guys.

Matt Linford

Also FYI some of us who want to camp or Stay in little rustic cabins will be staying at http://www.canyonlandsrv.com. This campground is right in the middle of Moab. I stayed there last year and it was great! We will try to do a campfire there again this year, with Smores!!!

What is the drop dead date for getting reservations?

Is the parkinglot big enough for an autocross? ;^)

Drop dead reservation is one week before your booking, and there isn't enough pavement for autocross.

Yes, of course there are more than 4-5 cars going to this

We're not trying to make this like MITM, and don't expect it to be as such. We don't have any pre-registration, no fee's for the event. Just show up and we'll run one way or another.

We're staying at the cabins too. Much much cheaper than a hotel! I'm so excited! :D

Yep, the cabins aren't a bad option. They only have a small space heater, but it keeps them surprisingly warm. I stayed there last year and will probably do so again, if nothing else, I'll just bring my tent along and car camp it.

Condo, houses for rent - FYI

Hi all. We rented a 2 bedroom plus loft condo along one of the golf courses for $175 a night or $88 a night for 2 couples or $59 for 3 couples. You can google Moab vacation rentals to see the different sites with places available. The largest site is www.vrbo.com. We did this for MITMs as well. We got a nice 1 bedroom condo at Copper for less that the motel room rates. There are larger places available in Moab - houses that would hold several couples in case someone is bring a big group. Sorry, I didn't think to post this sooner.
