Pic of a pic lol. would bet it’s an older gent. But not too old to realize what the car is worth. I got a love hate relationship with the color coded wheel arches, definitely makes waxing easier and give a different look to it.
Looks like we got a JCW bonanza going on here lately.

If this is an example of a car that is a 'good deal' at a $12k asking price, I might as well just stick mine up for sale at $25k and be done with it!!
Those R95's on the 53's are BOSS... but....
Looking at these pics makes me even more 'Anti-Aero-Kit'.... what an after-thought the rear bumper is ....
The front aero bumper is not that bad... looks a bit off to ME on the car, but 'ok'.
That rear needs to be torn off and sacrificed to a good dumpster fire.....But thats just me.
Those 'decal grilles' you seen on the back of most don't do much for the rear 'aero' bumper either IMO.
TO ME... Almost, but not quite as bad as this one that someone took way too seriously....

Hey now, some aero kits look pretty nice! Just got the title for this 04 JCW for $5300. It'll be on it's way home soon.
No rust, 80k miles, the paint needs a bit of help apparently, the exhaust tips arent straight, and the driver taillight looks a bit messy at the bottom
Passenger side upper strut mount is partly torn which is ****ing the tire a bit, the intake tube is broken and Gerry rigged, the passenger side reflector needs replacing,
and the valve cover gasket and belt need replacing.
Any other suggestions? other than filters and prob spark plugs? It drives well, apparently.
Congrats on that Android. That’s a righteous price. I’m sure you’ll have some gaskets/seals and such to tend to. I liked the aero kit right from the start. Definitely a little more aggressive than stock. The rear can sometimes look odd, but mostly in pics at not so good angles. Mine is completely stock, I was planning on a complete aero kit. Now kind of toying with just the skirts (those always look good) and probably aero grille with upper bumper grille mod. The stock original design has slowly grown on me, and oddly enough, I like seeing the two mufflers underneath.
Your lower radiator grille looks like toast. Pretty hard to find new now, but I think you could probably find one here on the forum. You’re gonna have a blast, of course after you spend some cash...as always.
A lot of the rear bumpers in the UK actually have the vents in the back cut out and use mesh to make it a somewhat functional diffuser, but you also don’t have to worry about the stickers melting off. There are also real mesh grilles that screw on the front, another permanent solution. http://racemeshgrilles.com/Mini-Coop...R53_p_313.html
Hmmmm.... this Portland car was also posted for sale at the end of October. Same car, same photos. I contacted the owner (back then) and the car was already sold. Looks like new owner is using the old photos.
The front radiator grill will probably be pulled off and painted. We'll see how bad it is when the car arrives. Could just need a REALLY good wash. Have pics of the engine and oil fill cap, and there's sand everywhere. Gonna need to figure out how to gently pressure wash the engine bay maybe?
That lower grille usually suffers from a lot of fade for some reason, taking it off probably involves bumper removal. Painting better than nothing, but maybe not very durable.
I know the regular R53 lower grille mostly pops out (never actually completely popped it out), as mine was partly not snapped in. No idea about the aero grille, but i wouldnt imagine it being that much different.

As @Jonny said, you have to remove the front Aero bumper to remove that lower grille.
Does anyone know if the wheels on this 06 JCW were a factory option? They are the same wheel I have on my 06, but I haven't seen many others with this 18" wheel.

The R105s were not a "factory" option in that you wouldn't see them listed on the original Monroney window sticker. They were available from MINI as dealer add-on or accessory wheels.
Those R105's and the other 18's sure do look good on our cars (my fav is the R109) ... but boy, does a nice set of 16's ride so much better and handles just as good IMO.
I have all the sizes and shapes.... 15/16/17/18's on my 53's and 56's... (NO RFT's)
I'm getting old and the R90 16's... with 205/50R16 Proxes-R1R's or Bridge RE71-R's for Spring/Summer
and Vredestein QUATRAC-5 Grand 195/55R16's for the Fall/Winter are really pulling at me for the 53-JCW's... I ordered a set of the winter combo... and looking at the summer all with new Chromodaora MINI-Factory R90 16's from ECS....Doesn't even pay to refinish old ones
I truly doubt I will have any performance loss in going to a smaller wheel with taller sidewall... but NVH sure is better... especially on those Surprise "OH Ch!t" pothole moments !!

You're telling me... I have the 18" R105s with run flats and boy do you feel everything in the road. I just tell myself it's a "racecar" and this is how it was meant to feel. When I bought the car it had basically brand new tires on it so it's not bad enough for me to ditch the tires quite yet, I'll at least make the switch to non-runflats when these lose a bit more tread.
Sure does make my Focus ST feel like a luxury car
I know people mention it here all the time but I love this thread. I'm not buying another mini but I enjoy keeping up with the people who are looking for one! Here is a unique one, not sure about a deal but definitely interesting.
