Damn looks like it was already just sold, and headed to the left coast! Who bought it???

@JackMac Isn't this yours? It looks familiar. Very well done video!

If you make em, we will watch them. Another on the burner?
Subscribed. You need to do this for Bat sellers, home of some of the worst drive/walk around snooze fest videos ever made. I’d imagine everything could be done remotely. But probably soul draining depending on the sellers input.

If you would please field a couple of questions...?
Can you tell us where and when the "Aero" kit was installed on your car.... Were any of those kit installed at the factory in 2006... or was that a dealer only item... Were they pre-painted in the 'kit' or were they primered?
Those R95's were really nice on it... the R90's are nice too !
Fun cars for sure... I've just bought another !... Sheesh.

Let see how accurate I think I am lol. Not factory installed. Offered in primer for US, but also painted from factory (not installed) only in the UK. Aero kit was MINI branded but not actually not manufactured by MINI. I’ll be happy if I’m right on one.
The first gen aero kits had several ways to get install on US cars, though I’m not an expert. @Eurothrasher may have better info. Below is what I know from some experience:
- Port installation. Added to the car at one of the VDC locations. Not sure if these were factory pre-painted or sprayed at the VDC.
- Dealer installed (primed kit)
- Customer installed (primed kit)
The red car in the video came this way from new. It was already on the car prior to delivery.

+1^ those are the ways i saw it back in the day when i bought my MINI in 2004 and MINI did have factory MINI kits prepainted kits. Yes they were a one part kit option which people could buy and have dealer installed, or installed after the sale. They had primed also.
They had them for (Prepainted) all Gen 1 MINIs ( i got the last R52 Cooper Aero Primed in the world) , Gen 2 MINI (we had a tons of those old Prepainted JCW body kits and sold out) , Gen 2 MINI Countryman ( we sold the last pre painted kit) and we have some primed ones lefts. MINI never made any for the Gen 3 MINIs and after they sold through all the Gen 2 MINI ones the product team at MINI was not focused on those at least in the USA.

Thank you all for the great info here !
Wow ... until just now I had no idea the extent of services done at a BMW VDC. Even vehicle re-sprays. (Ouch... that could put paint-meter readings into the toilet)
https://bimmerlife.com/2018/08/11/a-...on-center/amp/
It’s seems from the info above in this thread ... and other reading on the web ...that all MINI R50/52/53 ‘aero’ kits were dealer option tho ... and none were installed at the factory.... it does seem possible that, post-factory, VDC-installation could have happened back in the day, but I’ve seen no indication of any dealers claim that an R50/52/53 series ever arrived to the dealer with the ‘aero’ already installed.
Are there any window-stickers that show an installed ‘aero’ kit as tied to a particular VIN?

Was anybody else here watching this mega rare Pegaso supercharger?
I was stunned at the final hammer price.
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...-supercharger/
Guess I shouldn't be surprised, I mean look at the current used car market for mundane vehicles - it is bananas!
Pegaso are connoisseur cars and connoisseurs usually got mad money.
Road car version so not equipped with s/c,
but such the beauty nonetheless:
The BaT comment stream is interesting too,
I particularly liked this lil tidbit:
"...they were well ahead of Ferrari, and there is a connection between the two. The man behind the Pegaso was one Wifredo Ricart a brilliant Spanish engineer who started at Hispano-Suiza, and in 1936 moved to Alfa Romeo. At Alfa Romeo he designed both racing and aero engines, many of which were well ahead of their time, which didn’t always translate into reliability. Enzo clashed with Wifredo from the start, and after being fired from Alfa blamed him for it. For his part when asked why the car was to be called Pegaso, Wifredo answered: “why only have a horse that prances, when you can have one that flies”."
There's a supercharged E90 M3 on there at the moment - worst photos and video's of all time .. and a horrendously unresponsive seller

The GP was obviously hit by space lasers. Owner should file an insurance claim.
Edit: The GP is also listed here on NAM...

Mountainhorse, if you’re still looking, it’s a little south from you.

Paint might be flawless but is that a fist-print dent in the bonnet?
