2006 MCS for sale....

I am looking into getting out of my 06 MCS. Right now its getting to be too much for me and i need to get rid of it. The car is leased, so the best way to do this is outright buy it. Its looking for a nice home, and a warm garage . The price that i am asking is payoff on the car, $23k. The car is still under warrenty till 30k miles and it has 28k miles. The car color is Royal Grey, has the sport package, harom cardon system, Plays MP3's, Sunroof and moonroof, Cloth seats, cruise control, DSC control, fogs, HID headlights, Tinted windows 5%, All blacked out, with a few mods. It has the 16% RD pulley, My mini exhaust, power slot rotors in the front w/Hawk HPS pads, abd boost/air fuel gauge's, And NEW BFgoodrich KDW's 215/45/17. I had all service stuff completed by hendrick mini, and i did a few extra oil changes my self with Mobil 1 Full syn. If anyone is interested please contact me @ 803-493-8690. If you are interested to take a look, I will meet you one afternoon. Or you can e-mail me for pictures @ spikedacrzyman@yahoo.com. trying to see if there is any interest out there. I Hate to do this but i have to send my baby off . Pm if interested. Spike

If someone wants to move the lease into their name (and you'll be out of it, entirely), you may want to look into the services at www.swapalease.com.

You have to pay the extra cost for the 4 year 50k mile warrenty. Thats what i think. I am not totally sure. This car is in GREAT shape and no problems since. Hope that helps you out. Thanks Spike

How does this work out? do you know anyone that used this site? I places an add in the Charlotte observer to run for 28 days and the car is then posted on car.com, kbb.com, msnauto.com and i the regular newspaper as well. Who knows. Thanks for your help.. Spike

Both Mini Coopers come from the factory with a 4 year 50k mile warranty, and a 3 year, 36k mile maintainence package. Other than tires, you don't have to pay a dime until 36k miles. You're going to have problems selling the car as a lease, not many people lease Mini's. You'll have better luck paying it off and selling the car as is. August is a horrible month to be selling a car! I should know, i've been trying for a month with 2 phonecalls (And I live in Southern California!) .

I believe you just sell your lease to someone, and they take over your payments.

Well they can do that but get the milage added and still be on a lease. The only way for them to own the car is to make the payoff on the car. Thats the same as me owning the car and selling it to them. I am still going to try. I think it only comes with a 30k mile warrenty.. I will have to find out. Thanks Spike

You're confusing two VERY different things. You do NOT have a 36k mile warranty on your car, that is a maintainence package that comes free with all new Mini's. The warranty (Read, Warranty, not Maintainence) is 4 years, 50k miles on ALL NEW MINI's. Confusing things like this will turn off less "well read" buyers. Most of us know these things because we live breath and drink Mini. A less informed buyer will pass up your car for one with less milage, because of misinformation.

By the way, you may want to list the monthly payments for the car, because at the payoff you're talking about, You could buy a new one for 1-2k more .

Just trying to help, i've sold a few cars, hell i'm selling mine now, and it's hard, especially during the summer when nobody buy's things like that.

I've used swapalease in the past to trarnsfer an Audi. It was not an actual lease, it was one of those hybrid lease/finance deals, and in CT it was considered a sale, not a swap--so when the buyer went to register, sales tax was charged for the transaction. Also Audi Financial keeps the original buyer on the contract through the end.

Basically swapalease is a good way to find a person to swap your lease to if thats what your interested in. They dont really help you out THAT much and the process is different for each leasing company. You might want to contact your finance company and see what the process is for transferring the lease.

Good luck on your swap/sale.
