Hi, sorry for the delay.
I can do as well with the Pontiac dealer (for trade to Solstice) without any negotiation, so I'll have to pass on that one. I'd like to get somewhere in the 19s.
Also, I will be out of town for a few weeks for work (not sure exactly how long) so it will be a bit before I can show you the car etc. If you can wait, make me another offer.
Thanks for the interest!

One of the biggest mistakes of my life was trading my 05 MCS JB/JB that was absolutely perfect for a Solstice when they first came out. I really liked the bodystyle but the car just sucked. Very poor quality construction;didn't like the location of the stick shift...way to high as you sit too low. Fun car to drive but no real power. I sold it to a dealership in Alabama who just couldn't get one after driving it for four months and cam out even except for the beating I took on trading my MINI.
I thought I wanted the GXP and ordered one but it took over 8 months and by then I had given up on even getting it and purchased a BMW 335i Coupe which I really love...best car I have ever owned. Still have my 05 MCS Cabrio, too.
Good luck on selling or trading your MINI but please think again about the Solstice...

Interesting. Thanks for the advice.
Of course I'll get a GXP so it will have real power.
I have driven more than one and fit comfortably. Plus I can get them at GMS pricing so it will be a good deal.

Congrats, Spitfire, on your new ride. Hope that GXP turns out to be what you were hoping for. If you are tooling around Gainesville and looking for someone to do a few runs up in the N.GA MTs give me a call, 770-540-2505...I'd be glad to go with you. If you haven't found any Solstice groups I can get you in touch with the ATL group who like to motor a little.
