Already posted in the main "New Member" thread, but here she is again for my local compatriots--'07 MC 6-speed w/58k:



Just picked her up earlier this week. Love it! Already looking at shift **** replacement (existing stock one has chrome layer peeling off), and some plasti dipping of the exterior trim pieces...not a big fan of the chrome trim or silver wheels against the black.

 

Always nice to see a clean 07 MC, enjoy!

I think it all came out great. Turns out I like how the matte finish looks and pairs well with the plastic trim after restoration with "Back to Black". So I'm foregoing the Glossifier and leaving it as-is.

Black over BRG. Works for me since that's the way I was leaning anyway whenever I 'built' one online, and I plan to hopefully get a Black Jack vinyl on the roof.

Hey everyone! I moved to Colorado in March of 2013 and Loveland in April of 2013. Recently started looking into fun ways to get out and about and explore Colorado and thought getting involved more with MINIacs like YOU would be a fun way to do it!

WHEN did you get your MINI (or Mini)?
I got my 2012 Cooper S Hardtop in September of 2011. Special ordered one of the first '12s off the line in Oxford!

WHAT is your MINI or Mini's name?
"Coopah," because, well, we're originally from Boston, kid!

WHAT color or colors is your MINI?
Spice orange with black racing stripes, roof, mirror caps, and headlight housings.

What options did you get on your MINI?
6-speed manual transmission, Cold Weather Package, Sport Package, Technology Package w/ Navigation... etc.

WILL you be doing modifications to your MINI or Mini?
Yes! Cold air intake, tuner chip, catback exhaust system... and more!

WHERE did you get your MINI or Mini? New? Used?
I bought my MINI new at MINI of Peabody in Peabody, Massachusetts, but I'm a member of the MINI of Loveland family now, and haven't looked back since!

WHY did you get a MINI or Mini?
I became a MINIac back when I lived in Ireland during high school. It was only a matter of time!


WHAT part of town will you be seen in?
Loveland, mostly around the Centerra area. I'm on I-25 a lot, too, mostly between Thornton and Fort Collins!

WHAT types of events would you likely be involved in? Drives. Looking for good places to head in the mountains that are paved. Driven a lot of dirt, but never really focused on the paved road.
WHAT can MINI5280 do for you? Organized runs would be great.

 

I haven't had much luke with the FB page. I don't seem to see all the posts but can't get an approval for a join request. So I haven't been able to participate much since I don't see updates on my feed. :( I've pre-emptively paid dues but at this rate I don't think it'd be worth it. Any assistance is appreciated.

 

Club dues pay for the swag we send out, or main http://MINI5280.org website, our http://MINIsInTheMountains.com website, and assorted other events we do thru the year. All of our officers do this for free also.
Depending on which FB page you are trying to access, the main page, MINI5280 is just our club page and can only be liked. The 2 Group pages are pages to request access too. I control one and Jamie controls the other.
