OK so i noticed something in another thread about other MINI's waving (and not waving at the Countryman). What i have noticed, at least in the springs area, that almost noone waves.... My wife said "i think most of the MINIs you see around now are just car drivers that wanted good gas mileage, not enthusiasts like us!" I thought it was sad since it seems like a MINI revolution around the springs area.... maybe not. We are just cute car drivers that get good gas mileage???? Having a MINI isnt just having a cute car...its also a lifestyle!!! (((my 2 cents)))

oh and if you see, my LOLA or Jax Freaking wave theyd appreciate it!

yep, the wave has pretty much died out in the last 7 years I've been driving Gollum. I think the OP nailed it -- the folks that are "enthusiasts" are actually a minority among Mini owners these days.

but I wave anyway, because sometimes there is an "enthusiast" struggling to get out from within a practical mind...

good Karma anyway.

I get about 60% wave backs, here in Western Washington. I usually give a single flash of my lights and a wave.

well 17 days into ownership, I have about 70-80% return rate on waves.

I still wave, but most around Denver just look at you like WTF. I get more waves crusing in my work van than in the MINI thees days, I'm gona start fliping off the lesser small cars on the road aswell. (Well except for the ELDERLY or those with KIDS in their boring econo-box)

Gave up waving unless I'm waved at...sometimes I like to throw them off and wave from my little 2-door RAV...

 

well ill end this thread when i get to 10 waves.... to make it fair i wont even try in our CM (not many people realize thats a MINI anyway) so if you are seeing some weirdo in a silver and black "Justa" waiving like crazy then wave back!

I'm not to sure it has anything to do with your Countryman. Have noticed this past year, in my area of Aurora, that I get a totally blank stare from most MINI drivers that I've waved at. Spinach in my teeth??

Spinach... that must be it lol! Well just got back from the "Tax relief run"and i have to say that we got a few waves... now out of all 20 cars was that person waving at me??? Hell i'll count it just to get the ball rolling!!!

I got a few waves in my buddies SLOWBALT downtown today, maby its because we had to be in uniform, for our army thing. OH and I discreetly gave the bird to a guy in a PT CRUISER on the way home.

 

There's a discreet way to flip the bird??
