MINI5280 Presents - Yalla Yalla 2009

For over a hundred years MINI5280 has been holding the annual Yalla Yalla event and this year is no different.
Come enjoy some challenging directions, some mellowing music, some fantastic motoring and a ton of great prizes.
Yalla Yalla means to wander and while we haven't lost anyone yet (permanently that is) we have all enjoyed some great wandering.
So join us on Sunday October 18th and learn the true meaning of Yalla Yalla.

Be sure to sign-up on the club calendar: Yalla Yalla

So will there be

A Ride?
A Quiz?
A Musical Theme?
A destination restaurant and a meal?
Free gifts and prizes for all?
Another wrong turn, ending up in Greeley????

Chuck - I will probably be in attendance with a few photographers again this year. Know anywhere we can rent a mini?

There is no need to rent a MINI

when you can ride along with any number of us, and even switch off. You can experience a Cooper, Cooper S, Cabrio and Clubman all in one day.

Hehe. You guys are always great. I figured it would be cool to have a Cabrio so we could get the amazing driving shots.

hmmmm ... wonder who has a convertible. Who would have a convertible that is planning on being at Yalla Yalla, but will probably be too busy working the event to actually drive it?
IDK let me think on it.

So this year we have laid to rest the air velocity of an unladen European Swallow questions ... you may want to brush up on cultural geography, second semester calculus and chemistry 101. Just saying.

A warm-up quiz (so you don't pull a muscle):

What is the organic name of H2O?
In which country might you find Chinese Gooseberries?
The second derivative tells us what about the slope of a line?
Minimum is to maximum as MINI is to what?

Please remember to stretch properly before attempting quiz questions during Yalla Yalla.

No but you are sufficiently warmed-up.

Here's more:
The largest subsurface water flow on the planet flows in which direction?
Where is the highest national capital located?
Which is the stronger of the following acids HCl, HNO3 or HBF4?
What is the derivative of Cos(X) + Sin(x)?
Prove that you can never get there from here.

Better?

Yalla Yalla Pre-Qualification

Do you want to pre-qualify for this year's Yalla Yalla? Simply answer the following question to the best of your ability:

What is your favorite color?

Done and done!

For you Jonathan, this year we will actually go through Greeley or not.
On a similar note I can definitively state that most of this year's Yalla Yalla will occur within Colorado's borders. Well most is a bit misleading but I can guarantee no passports are required. Perhaps guarantee is a tad strong. Also very little foreign currency will be require (but may be desired).

My suggestion is that you consider

using distances vs landmarks as clearly, there is more than one pumpkin patch, more than one dairy barn, and more than one sign over the door.

But 56.2 miles is 56.2 miles, no matter the scenery. Hard to make a mistake.

Oh, I remember the days when the quiz and the music were the highlights....
