Let me take this opportunity to name a few of the sponsors for this year's Yalla Yalla:
Detailers Paradise
Ralph Schomp
MINI of Loveland
Moss Motors
American MINI Mates
Cool MINI Stuff
Outmotoring
CravenSpeed
Kim's World Travel
Aesthetic Creations
MINI Mania
Checker/O'Riley Auto Parts

plus Whitlow & Eleanor Wong and Mike & Mary Bush have donated a couple of prizes as well as MINI5280.

A lack of awesome prizes? I think not!
Poor weather - not a chance!
Lack of trivia and twisty roads - no way!
Food? Check. Drinks? Gottum.

Now all we need are drivers and navigators.

Cold Red Bull for some

But wait, there's more. Until they're gone, ice-cold Red Bull will be handed out. These are the extras left by the lovely Red Bull girls at MINIs in the Mountains this year. Sorry, no Red Bull girls to hand them out this time.

Holy cow - 80 degrees tomorrow. People won't know how to do Yalla Yalla with such temps.

Still need a person to carry the photographer. If you find yourself without a partner please consider the Euroberge photographer. You can see some of his work here: www.euroberge.com
Mike Selander is a nice guy, showers frequently and is very polite.

I just picked this up from my neighbors yard sale, and can bring it if we have an outlet. That way the Red Bull is nice an cold!

A couple of general thoughts on Sunday's Yalla Yalla.

Make sure you have a full tank of gas or plan on stopping mid-way.

Pack a light snack, those nifty coolers from MITM work really nice.

Take lots of snapshots, pictures will be fun along the way.

Look for my rear window off to the side at various places and remember to smile as you drive by.

Go ahead and strap it to the roof of your MINI. (Just kidding. Small cooler with ice will do.)

I believe you can hand a check to Chuck or Rick and they will be very happy to take your membership fee.

See you in the morning.

Can't make it...

Sorry, I can't make it tomorrow - I have tickets for the afternoon Star Wars Concert tomorrow, I bought the early admission option and so will not have time to do any of the Yalla Yalla first. It looks like an awesome day for the event though! Have fun!

P.S. - I never signed up as I didn't think I'd be able to finish due to the concert even if I could come, so keep that Rockstar bin full for everyone else coming!

I've got to say this was a good one. I hope everyone had fun and have kissed and made-up after yelling at their navigators.

The route was great thanks to the Wongs, Mary Bush and Shannon.
The prizes were excellent thanks to Mike Bush and the finish was great thanks to Whitlow and Eleanor.

I do have quiz answers I can post but give me a day or two to recover.

I need to thank Bahman for his generous donations from Import Auto Technicians in the Springs. I also need to thank Euroberge magazine's Erik Melander for coming out and shooting some photos of the event - can't wait to see them Erik. Thanks to Don for pairing up with Mike and doing some photo work of his own on the route. Finally I need to thank Mother Nature. We have had our issues in the past but I'm glad she has worked through her bad attitude and decided to give us a great weather day.

Congrats to the Autobees and Shelly for high score this year and a good job goes to Kim for her first place finish.

With this MINI5280 wraps up another Yalla Yalla. Let me just say that if you seek revenge on those that created this year's Yalla Yalla you will have the opportunity - just volunteer for next year's committee and stick it to us!

Post your photos if you got some to share.

Fun time, Chuck that was Erik Melander from Euroberge.

We had a fun time talking cars and taking pictures. I'm sure he has some great ones with the paparazzi super lens. We saw some might fine cars and bikes touring about today.

And many, many MINIs.

I will post a link to my picasa later or you can hit the picasa link in my signature and browse around.

It's later: YALLA YALLA PICTURES (link)

Off to Missouri this week, so see you folks in a week or so.

Don

Don, indeed; I greatly appreciate the lift and allowing me to pick your brain with some Cooper questions!
Here's a very small taste of what could come in the next issue of EuroBerge.

Yes, nicely done Erik! I like the pepper white MINI in motion (a bit of blur in all the right places)...
