Coffee and Cars - Cinos Coffee and News

Hi all,

I mentioned this local event in the Tuesday meeting. It was posted on ferrarichat.com, so I wanted to see if we have some MINI interest.

The flyer states:

Join Us for Coffee and Cars.... An informal gathering for classic cars and vintage vehicles. First Saturday of Each Month 7AM to 10AM.

The next gathering should be May 3, 2008.

Any MINI interest? Northside MINI folks? Everyone!

North 95th (Hwy 42) and Arapahoe Rd, Lafayette/Louisville, CO.

I'm thinking of going over and catching a coffee and cinnamon roll with Scooter. Nothing formal, people can come an enjoy then go about their day.

It appears a lot of Ferrari folks are finding this a fun thing to do, I thought we could have a MINI showing.

Chuck, Rick, do you we want to put this up on our calendar?

Here is a map link to Cinos.

Here is the Cinos Website

They have free wireless for those who cannot go anywhere without a computer or camera (I'm guilty)...

I have never been so it would be a new experience and if nothing else we can get some MINIs together for a coffee stop.

If you want to ask anyone about the Coffee and Cars gathering, Michael with this number 720-470-1063 was listed on the FC flyer.

Added to MINI5280 Calendar

It's been added to the MINI5280 Event Calendar, right here on NAM, as a courtesy reminder for the first Saturdays of the month for this year. If you go, share your thoughts and photos here!

Thanks Rick, I will look forward to seeing some of you on the 3rd. I will be heading back out to San Diego, then a little time here then to China, so this one may be my only local car fix for the month of May.

Unless I decide to do that NASA test and tune with HPDE on the 17th of May which is a thought.

We're planning on coming. Good excuse to treat ourselves to some high priced coffee.

Yes, high priced coffee and some good magazines on the rack, too.

I will go check the place out this week, perhaps I can pick up a flyer.

If we can 5 or 6 of us with our MINIs, we can take over a part of the parking area.

Don - What time would you like the swam of MINIs to invade?
I think with more then two MINIs all the Ferrari owners will be too intimidated to park by us so by default we will get our own area.
EEK ... Clown cars ... keep the ponies away from them!

Chuck,
I will drop by Cino's on Wednesday and see what information they have at the coffee store and suggestions on parking.

I will get back to you on a reasonable time expectation.

Shelly, sorry I missed talking with you on Tuesday, dropped the car off during your lunch and the guys swooshed me out of the dealership around 4pm.

We did check out how dirty my engine compartment was and the DDMWorks CAI after my trip to La Junta last weekend.

I did not get to Cinos on Wed. perhaps later today. I will report back later.

Hello Coffee fans.

I was able to go up to Cinos today and check the place out. I looked for a flyer but none were available.

After I bought a magazine on digital photography (a vice I have).

I asked the young lady at the checkout about the event, she said they have been getting a modest group, so we will be helping them out with a few MINIs.

The event will be next Saturday for anyone who wants to come. If you have an exotic and want to leave your MINI at home, feel free to bring your LAMBO!

I plan on being at the lot by 7:30 to reserve a spot for us MINI folks, I think my Ferrari owning friend is going to bring the 360 or the Testarossa.

I am still trying to get him to buy a nice MINI.

Here are a couple pictures from today, the parking looks like it should hold a good amount of cars.

Hope to see some of you next Saturday for coffee.

Don

The lot from up by the entrance. If it is warmer, nice tables outside to sit and drink coffee and watch the action.

Thanks for doing a little recon for us Don. I've been tossing this about in my mind and as it turns out we've got no plans to interfere, so I'm considering coming up. I've put word out to a few of my shutterbug friends to see if they'd like to come too.

I'm not 100% sure yet, but it's likely I'll be there. Heck, I think I'll even get a car wash for the occasion. (man my car is filthy)

Hope to see you. I will have to clean up too, since we are going to get the typical Thursday crappy weather. It should be about done, I hope.

LOL -- okay, okay - besides, I need help putting my magnet thingie on!

I won't be there at 7, but perhaps 8-8:30. Besides, I love coffee. It's one of my favorite things. (You know, Bean is named after Java monster's Mean Bean)

Too bad that Shelly's not around! Otherwise I'd drag her butt outta bed for coffee too!

I'll see you guys on Saturday Morning!

Hey S
