Other commitments kept me from MOTD and will keep me from the ME and NH events in June, but I have already registered for the NJ to CT final leg and plan to enjoy the rest of the day at Lime Rock. Also willing to help coordinate with other NE drivers for this final day and to provide advice on lodging, diversions, roads, etc. for those unfamiliar with the CT area.

Opps...I forgot about school. Guess I should check that out...

I had only said Little Rock because that was mentioned at some point by Alan in one of our meetings. I also figured Sunday would be better than Monday for most of the group.

I think I am going to go ahead and schedule Monday off in case Roadshow schedules some sort of Beale St or other excursion. Maybe I will drive the Nashville leg too...I have a friend up there I would like to see.

I just signed us up for the last leg of the event NJ to CT. We haven't hooked up with any local clubs yet. I tried to register with NEMINI but couldn't complete the registration process on their website. The next closest club would be Philly MINI. I will have to check them out too and see if they are organizing anything specific.

I'm trying to get time off work to travel the CA legs.

Has a Frapper map been started on this? It would be interesting to see where everyone is coming from.

Why the heck are they taking the interstate from Cincy to Charleston? Hwy 52 is FAR more curvy and a much more MINI friendly road. IMHO it should be the main route and the interstate be listed as the wimpy driving a Counterfit MINI route.

I dunno.. I talked to Todd today and they didn't really know anything about MTTS.

There's lots more there now ...
Who's signing up? GP owners? Whole MTTS drivers? Or just folks doing at least one segment?

Club for central VA?

I'm doing the leg from Charlottesville VA to DC; not in a club right now but would definitely like to be as soon as my MINI gets here end of July or so. Is there a Richmond, VA club? I live in Fredericksburg..........

I have a page for each leg on my new GPMINI website; the page for Charlottesville to DC is here and lists DC Metro MINIs as a club for that leg.

There are several clubs in the area. DC Metro MINIs - we are planning an event to go along with MTTS - River City MINIs (based in Richmond) and Hampton Roads (based in the VA Beach/Norfok/Hampton Roads area).

All three have web sites and/or forums on NAM.

Don't worry, Aaron. Our local event has a HUGE surprise planned on top of the MINIUSA activities, but it's top secret. I can say, probably nobody else on the tour will have this.

If you have links to any discussion / planning threads or webpages, I'd love to add them to my day-by-day pages on GPMINI.net

Some of the special events planned for the route are up. Just a few thoughts....

1. So I see the girls from Maxim magazine will be along for the ride to give drivers massages at each of the stops.

What's up MINIUSA...how about a little something for those of us lady MINI drivers (the man lovin' variety that is...SCORE for the female lovin' ones though !!!)

2. Carwashes by high school students. I know it is for charity and all, but don't they realize how protective we all are?

3. How can you come to Memphis and not have something music related planned? I volunteer to lead a Blues excursion!! Or whatever other type of music is going on here on a Sunday night!!

Ian, I'll bet that you could bring 200 and sell them all.

Compared to selling massages at every stop, you would be a breath of class for the event.
