Decided not to fiddle with it any more and buy the GP2 Belly Pan. No interest after that.

Way was surprised I had any issue to begin with. Must have been my car lol

Various MINI models have had interference issues with the Catalytic converter hitting / vibrating on the brace when the engine is under torque load. I wouldn't say it's a common issue, but it exists.

Did the belly pan interfere with the x-brace?
I have the x-brace and had started looking into a belly pan... however was not certain if the two played well together.
