What steps would need to be taken by the purchaser in terms of licensing, support, access to the tech forums, etc?

 

IIRC when I registered on the forums all you need is the serial number to gain access. As for support Mike and the Bytetronik team are fantastic, they have always been responsive and helpful for me and I also purchased a used FA53.

 

If brand new how many support are available, this is used and only 1 left is it worth buying?
Just like buying for only 1 time use and that's it you stuck...

 

All FA53 Kit comes with one (1) Credit. Once it's married or loaded onto that MINI, you (or your tuner) can flash it as many time as you want.

Would it be possible to get the tunes and list of modifications that tech12 was running? And view maps/flash these tunes to new car through this tool?

 

You would have to ask tech 12 for his map. This is a self tuning kit so the maps can be customized by the end user on their own.

 

No maps are being given out. Every car is different and it's not plug n play from car to car and I don't want to be liable for anything if something bad happens. There are sample maps that come with the set up as a standard but those are just for learning purposes only and shouldn't be used, they are just in there to show you what is going on. The best thing to do is install the software and log what you are currently seeing on the car and then make small adjustments from there. Or go to a dyno with a tuner and get the car tuned by a professional for a good base map or complete tune. Use caution and know what you are doing when using this software.
