Posting this for a 3rd time now. Changed my price and nam wouldn't let me self host photos for some reason,
But this rack came with my most recent purchase, and I have no need for it. It is a thule 400xt setup with a with a 871xt fairing. Works very well and is very well built. It is very easy to install, only takes maybe 15minutes. It also DOESN'T require any drilling.
Free shipping will be anywhere in the US or I am in indiana and willing to meet within reason
Will sell the complete roof rack with both carriers for $290 shipped.
Check out my photobucket for a bunch more photos and to see how it works.

The part's that are sticking out twist to tighten the legs onto the window rim. Once tight the clip onto the rack and are unnoticeable.
And I believe this rack will fit a r55/r56 it has the same general shape. You may have to slide the legs out a bit but that shouldn't be an issue, I do have the instruction manual.
Sold......

Honestly with a rack like this there is pretty much no risk at all. The only potential risk is if you hit the car as you're carrying the rack or something like that. But the pads on the rack are a softer rubber to prevent any paint damage.
Hmm I honestly can't say for sure. Realistically it should fit the r56 but without one local I can't really try it. Maybe someone can chime in?

They would lock at the forks, but I do not have the keys. you can still use the skewers but just can't lock them. A lock Smith could make you keys or Thule may be able to send replacement keys or lock cylinders. Personally I'd use them as is. Just seeing the locks on there should be enough to scare most thieves.

And if your asking if the rack locks to the car or if the bike racks lock to the rack, no. But it's almost impossible to get the rack off if the bike racks are on. And it is a bit tricky to get the bike racks off of the rack.
Lots of interest, but no sales.....
