Price: $650
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): R56, R57, R58, R59, R60
Location (Region): Midwestern

I bought this turbo from another NAM member a few months ago, and have since gotten a Manic stage 2+ tune and am happy with my car as is for now. I've never had the turbo installed on my car, the NAM member I bought it from told me he had about 18,000 miles on it. The price is $650.00 shipped.

Well that didn't work! The site won't let me re-post that picture because I had it posted on another thread. I tried selling this turbo before and was also selling a jb+. I sold the jb+ but couldn't edit the price on the main title, so I started this new thread for just the turbo and stopped bumping my old thread. Old listing is located at:

Can you call gpop and get us the exact info on this turbo ? I was interested back when you listed this in your original post but it still sounds like we're assuming exactly what the turbo is ??? No offense but as I do not know you at all I'm not big on the " well the guy I got it from said this ". I ended up buying a jm turbo but would still be interested in this unit but there are to many unknown variables . What are the guts ( chra) , billet ? Ported? Inlet size ? Gpop offer much more then a simple (k03/k04) hybrid conversion. I'm sure worst case you could send it to them ? Wouldn't take them 10 minutes to disassemble to get full details, reassemble and ship back to you . I would hope they wouldn't charge you for this , and shipping is cheap - I just sent a turbo from Midwest to east coast for under $20

I called them and in order for them to get me the information I keep getting asked about, it's going to cost $350.00. They would have to take the turbo apart to get all the different size information for me. Then put it back together and balance it. While it's apart, it only makes sense to redo all the bearings since I'm already paying for all the labor to take it apart. If I end up having to do all this, I'm sure not selling it for what I'm asking now. I'm not trying to make money off this. I've had two sales disappear already on this thing. If I still have it in the spring I'll send it to Gpops and have them rebuild it and give me all the info on it and try selling again for $900.00. If I do that it will also have the 12 month warranty from Gpop. So either I keep trying to sell it for a few months until it's rebuilt by Gpops, and then someone buys it. Or someone can buy it and pay the $350.00 to have it done. I don't care, it's not costing me any more many sitting in my garage for the next while.

I am so grateful no one bought this. I have it being rebuilt right now, i was told the thrust bearing failed and it would have been a time bomb. Gpops put a stock thrust bearing on the turbo with the bigger compressor wheel and the stock bearing couldn't handle it. I'm having the compressor wheel measured while being rebuilt, but may install it when I get it back. When I know more I will post the results and whether I'm selling or installing. Wish me luck.

WOW! A very good thing no one bought it! And a shame that the person you bought it from either didn't know, or happened to leave that part out when they sold it to you. But a blessing in disguise I guess. At least this way, you have it rebuilt and then maybe Manic can tune your car for it?
