I believe that there maybe clearance issues from the linkage on the manual transmissions. On other note, did you get your problem figured out?

How do these help w/ higher boost? From what I understand the piston has a equalization valve that maintains a "balance" on both sides of the piston. The spring (and it's very small amount of force) facilitate the piston in closing once the magnet is de-energized. I started to question all these claims when I realized just how strong 21 psi is and there's no way the small spring (either stock or the ALTA) could withstand that pressure. Too strong a spring and one will get surging/stammering upon decel.
So, do these really help higher boost engines above what a ALTA spring will accomplish?

BTW, I understand they are beneficial if your diaphragm is torn or deleting the diaphragm all together is nice as it will never tear if its not there. All that I said. I do want one for the N14 motor
