6 Speed Getrag Conversion (Sold)

Category: Drivetrain
Price: $675
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): R50, R53
Location (Region): NorthEast
Item Condition: Used

ITEM IS SOLD. If someone wants to tell me how to delete a post, I'd be more than willing to remove it.

I just finished parting out my 2003 Mini Cooper and I think I have all the parts needed for a 6 Speed conversion (as far as I know). So if you're want to ditch the CVT take a look. Here's the list of components

-6 Speed Getrag
-Cast aluminum Mounts to mount tranny to chassis. There are two, one attached to the tranny and on the chassis
-Dual Mass Flywheel
-Starter Motor (it is different from the CVT)
-Brake and clutch Pedals
-Clutch master Cylinder
-Clutch Slave Cylinder
-Clutch line from Master cylinder to slave
-Clutch line from Brake fluid reservoir to Clutch master cylinder
-Shifter
-Shifter cables
-Shifter ****

Price does not include shipping

Pretty close for what you need for a swap. You actually don't need the starter for the swap from a CVT.

You would need to add the axles and the clutch lines though.

I have the clutch lines. The axel shaft boots were damaged when I removed the engine, but the shafts are very cheap from Autozone.com

There are two different starter options. When I replaced mine a while back they gave me the one for the "automatic" and it didn't fit. It has a different nose cone.

Yup, the automatic on the S and the manual on the base use a different starter, but the 6-speed getrag and CVT use the same one.

Good opportunity to revive a MINI with a busted CVT...hopefully someone takes it.
