Minimanadam IS BAAAAAAAACK

Traded a fbo focus st3 for this here r58 jcw. Dude got the better end of the deal considering I included over 6k worth of parts to make the focus 400+whp but do I care ? NOOOOOOOPE !
SO the car only has a dumb cravenspeed adjustable shifter , Nvidia resonated exhaust which sounds awesome , intake and an alta intercooler ( totally not needed yet ,only hurting)
I had another r58 about 6months ago but its body was Fd from a Colorado hailstorm but though it was an n14 and the new one is an n18 , which makes no sense as they were the sane year too ,both 2013s..
but anyway plans are full bolt on and hybrid k04 turbo with 11x blade compressor wheel. I will more than likely have Adrian tune it then also.
but here's pics of the new one ( black n red ) and my old one to give you an idea what I plan to Do. The old one had that wrap on because the patterns and colors did an outstanding job and hiding the dents because every panel beside the roof had HUGE dents and dings in them..
anyway, here's the start of my build.. my 1st few mods will be installed tomorrow and I will post pics and info all throughout this build just as I have all the previous..
I'm glad to be back , though I never fully left, I still have had a 2013 clubman S but it's been my occasional car because it's going to be my daughters 1st car in 4months.

Swapped a few parts off the clubman onto the jcw.. I put in the 0bd2 multigauge and the jcw strutbar..of course I repolished the bar before I installed it..
I ALSO listed up the jcw challenge rims and sold them in 20min , so I was eyeballing these rpf1's and shot the guy an offer and he accepted it. So for just some time n gas , my challenge rims turn into rpf1's !!!!
Wooooow it drives so much nicer with this rim n tire setup vs the other.. other was general Gmax 205/40r18 and now it has continental extreme contact 215/45zr17.
I took the car up to my cottage to take care of my pops for awhile, I pulled fricken 42mpg !!!!!! i might make it all the way back home on the sane tank of gas. Absolutely unreal how much better mileage this jcw gets vs my focus st.
anyway here's some pics..
I think I'm going to ditch this dumb intake the jcw has too because the silicone ones are not only much larger diameter , they also dont have as sharp of turns either..
what is the MOST aggressive plug in tuner for this engine btw ? Like a stage 3x.. ALSO , WHERE THE F do I find a full 3in exhaust for this car ? I'd like to look into running my 3in dp and full 3in exhaust.. i mean ,the car sounds absolutely awesome now and is quite as stock dang near but once i go hybrid k04 f21 turbo, running..

Welcome back! The new coupe looks great in the classic black / red colors.

Those Enkei wheels are about 10lbs lighter than the boat anchor Mini wheels. Nice choice there.

I actually like the NM intake for the JCW. It flows really well. Not a fan of the carbon fiber tube, but the hood will be closed 98% of the time. Open up the hood scoop to get better airflow in the engine bay, and that intake will be fine.

With a catless down pipe, 3” exhaust (might have to go custom), the NM intake, a bigger intercooler, and a custom tune, that car should be pushing 300hp. Skip the piggy back, and reach out to @Lou@Prototype-R for the custom route.

Nice Mini! I used to have a big turbo focus ST as well, excellent car and still one of my favorite online car communities. Ended up trading it for an S550 Mustang GT.

Buddy came by today and we did a little pre 4th of July partying and threw the k04 turbo on..
Other day i also installed a jb4+ and installed a boost gauge.. i made 18psi with the jb4 and the oem jcw turbo... it actually pulled decent but meh.
My upgraded intercooler piping arrived today alojg with the catless dp. So i need to get a bung welded into the dp to run a wideband. I also wanna wrap and coat it too then. I'm also still waiting on the turbo blanket..
i cleaned up and repainted the crashbar AND i took off most of the STUPID coating on my alta intercooler.. idk why the F anyone would paint an air2air intercooler
well heres some pics , sorry they suck and not many nor any videos yet BUT thatll change ina week wgen my new phone gets here.. my camera barely works on this one i got so bare with me guys.. i promise to mske this more interesting soon.

o yeaaa.. I also removed the underwounderhood heat keeper inner and then I opened up the hood scoop and made it fully functional.
I was baaaaaarely able to get the intake on over this larger k04 housing BUT I have a custom intake coming i had made in CHINA. The company has made custom intakes for me for ny r53s I'd had.he price is still byfar cheaper too than any namebrand intake and when I'm done building it and piecing it together, it's going to be an awesome Hella efficient intake.

Daaaaaaaaaamn the car picked up GOBS of power.
totally impressed !!!! Ebay for the win again !
This turbo goes into boost SOOOO easy and hits that 18.5psi threshold soooo soon and holds it until redline.. it definitely spools quicker too. Not too quick to pop a cel or knock/ping.
im sure the upgraded piping helps too because geez oem is small by the tmap in that plastic tube.
this turbo isn't as sexy sounding as the 6x6 blade i ran last time BUT I feel like its a better responding turbo. Once I get tuned I will see if it can make 23psi my goal. Because last turbo that 6x6 it maxed out at 20.5 and no matter what was tried it couldn't boost above that.
I broke my flex pipe underneath just like I did my clubman so just like my clubman i Jerry rigged it till i get a replacement. Atleast it doesn't leak but lol it's ghetto.
soon as my phones here in the next day or two I will take a video and do a drive along and some pulls and let you guys get a good look at the car..
Hopefully everyone had a fun/safe 4th... the fireworks we watched were the best I ever seem and we couldn't have been closer either ,it was raining down gunpowder and motor shells on us the whole time. But the show they put on was outstanding !

you rigged 80%. Of the mods you did on the car I bought from you, so I’m not surprised to hear that you’re rigging this one too. Water to air intercooler installed without any seals through the floor for the tubes, Wires twisted together and covered with electrical tape instead of proper connectors, Wires ran next to exhaust pipe which melted and fried pumps for the w/air intercooler, resisters connected to wires and shoved into the windshield ducts and not marked, ground wires connected to the frame with self tapping screw and wire wrapped around screw. No wonder you go through so many cars!

that r53 was a monster. And if you think every single mod eill be done professionally factory quality, your a fool. Your jewed me down on the price and got the car for 1/5th of what I invested Into it.. you also got the car running and driving perfect minus a speed sensor...
no one forced you to buy it..
You also didn't take care of the car and beat on it and never checked things over.. wtf you expect ? It was a fully customized build , of course theres going to ve things that could have been done better. Live and learn...
sell me my car back then crybaby, I'd love to bring it back home.. u have yet to see or be in another r53 running the factory engine and a supercharger be near as fast as mine.. also all of carbonfiber upgrades on that car are worth 3x stock coopers by them selves..
bring it back here , ille buy it back.. i wont **** you around and stiff you like you did me..

I also advise you guys to not buy the ic piping I did.. Selmer is nor willing to help in anyway. The passenger side hose Was much too short and I had to splace in part of the stock holes to fit. I also had to cut off the mountain tab.On the hard metal tmap adapter pipe Because that was well did in the wrong orientation. I notified the seller of all these problems and asked if he could send me out a replacement hose and I was told no. I showed him all the pictures and told him all the problems and his excuse for the that man was. " this is made to fit a stock engine, you have an aftermarket intercooler so that's why it didn't fit " which is ******** because I have an alta intercooler that fit my stock hoses perfect.
Heres the fitment on either side before I had to cut up and splice in the sections.

I'm selling the NM intake because I don't like it.. the intake tube i put on that I had custom made it literally 50% larger diameter than the NM intake. Mine also fits my big turbo now without having to stretch it over.. I used the stock box on my Clubman until I decide what filter setup and placement I'm going to do. But lolol like how I added extra flow to the stock airbox ??
I also fixed my flexpipe with a replacement flexpipe but it fit like **** and put the exhaust at kind of an angle and it was a **** to get seated for the band clamp to work correctly.. uuugggghhhhh atleast irs better than a cutup baking pan and hoseclamps lolol..
I'm replacing the interior Speakers too because mine are blown and omfg these aftermarket speakers sound terrible. I also tried kickers and Sony and neither sounded near as good as the factory junk even.. so I'm sure the ohm is off and rms but I tried to match it ,ah well. I'm gonna run to the salvage yard and yank me some Harmon Kardon Speakers instead. I actually loved how my last r58 sounded with the hk option.. unfortunately I won't have the door tweaters but I might install a full aftermarket sound system eventually. I do plan on keeping this car.. I really really love hpw these r58s feel.. even with mine having some pos janky too high sitting rear suspension and the pissed out front end that needs a rebuild soon.. I still prefer the feel of this car over anything else I've ever driven..
im gonna install the RS style doorhandle replacement pulls also...

your sorry *** lied 🤥 n your advertisement and said this thing needs nothing, “it’s perfect”. Yet when I showed up the drivers seat was broken , traction control light went on and off, there was no horn, so yes I wasn’t going to give you full price. I had to buy new racing seats(1400.00) because I couldn’t find a driver seat to match the passenger, then because you rigged everything ( because your a cheap ****) instead of paying someone that knows what they are doing to do it, I had to put another 1080.00 into it just to pass inspection and then another 2500 into it to have all the rigged wires redone and all three pumps replaced because the wires melted together because of how you ran them. I sold the ****ing car before I sunk another 2500 into it. The difference between me and a piece of **** like you is I told the guy I sold the car to everything that was wrong before he bought it.
if anyone thinks I’m lying, feel free to call helix in Philly and talk to Eric or Tim. This guy is a weasel. I wouldn’t buy water from this low life. He does nothing but lie. He even told me the only reason he was selling was so he could buy a new house and two weeks or so later he had the green car and was still living in the same place.

Aftermarket speakers sounded like SHIIIIIIIIIIIIT !
SO I yanked them pos's out and went to the salvage yard and got some Harmon kardom uppers with the tweeters and vould only find standard lower speakers. I also found a mini ash tray too aaaaand got a wheelwell headlight access cover.
theres was a matching black hood for sale kinda close but it sold unfortunately before i could get to it. I need to replace this hood because it'd the only flaw on the car exterior..there are 2x dents on the top arch and theres no getting them out unfortunately.
Somehow the system has loss bass BUT gained much much better mid and highs quality. Which is fine by me because i mostly listen to techno/progressive ( boris breacha , monoco , dub fire , dead mause ectect ) while driving..
I installed the rennline rs style door handle pulls,the install was pretty simple except on my passenger side the panel must have been off prior because i found a snapped off bolt and one bolt was stuck because its retainer just spun so it was kinda hard to get behind the panel to get at the lach mechanism..
I installed the turbo blanket too. Imo these are an essential for these engines , along woth the flexi dipstick which I will install soon as I change my oil so I can trim the dipstick to the exact level readings.
my 300+$ timing chain set arrived too. It has a cryogenic treated chain and upgraded stronger guides and better filling tensioners that fill faster upon engine start ups and they're less likely to clog. So in the next month or so I will have that installed but I have to have my buddy Dan do it for me because that's a little beyond my expertise.
I'm loving this turbo btw and I can't wait to get the catless dp on and the aftermarket side winder intake manifold which I gotta order yet but after those 3x things get done , it's really really gonna wake the cat up more. Even now ,untuned only upgrading the turbo and ic piping it now makes an extra 5psi and starts making that boost about 500rpm sooner and peaks max boost around 500rpm sooner also. The powerband definitely definitely has improved along with the Max power... it barks the tires pretty hard going into 3rd amd going into 2nd it spins them pretty good. And these armt no junk tires eitherun flats. 17in Enkei rpf1 lightweight rims are a massive massive upgrade vs the jcw 18s with pos runflats. Just swapping the rims and tires I could notice abit better acceleration..
as always , here's pics guys...I will take a video tomorrow amd do a walk around and a drivealong and show it better. Sorry I just been very busy with my house , we've only owned it 1yr to the month..
check out the garden I put in , I need a few more brocks and that project is done.. I do got a greenthumb even though my hands of a grease monkey.
Btw my car doesn't have wheel gaps like that , my garage entrance is pretty steep angle so she's leaning hard.

Put on a better steering wheel. Gowd I love flat top/bottom wheels in these minis. They REALLY help give you extra leg/lap room and when your just crusing ,it's so much nicer to rest your hand ontop of a flat service than an arch..
Then i seen a set of coilovers for sale abit over an hours drive from me so I took a shot in the dark and offered him ny jcw turbo for trade and he thxfully took the deal.. so my daughter and I hopped in the jcw and took a little trip to go get them. They are evil energy coilovers ( I never heard of that brand ) and in all honesty, the main reason I wanted them was because they are red/black so they match the car well..
I ordered a full set of universal side flares and front lip ,they're very similar to the ones I out on my other r58 I'd had. Sp the lip kit and then once I get these coilovers on and set the ride height and stance , it's gonna look 10x better. I also will be ordering 5-7mm spacers and extended lugs which will make sure the rims clear the coilovers..
aaaaaaaaand the company i got my turbo from is the same company I bought all my other upgraded turbos from even my subarus turbo , so they thanked me for my return service and offered me something of my pick FOR FREE basically, I just had to cover 50$ shipping but I picked out and got ANOTHER exact same turbo. So NOW I will be making this little sucker TWIN TURBO !!!! na na I'm just kidding buuuuuut I very well may throw the turbo onto my clubman which will be my daughters car soon but atleast I could enjoy it in the meantime every time I have to take the clubman out. She's a responsible kid so I actually would trust her with a faster car because she has respect and appreciation unlike most kids and even most adults..
so I guess my next steps are getting this suspension on and finally getting rid of this cars swswishy sloppy fron end end and the I'm sure bottom of the barrel rear suspension that sits the rear end over an inch higher than stock. So I gotta get lower engine mount and probably swaybar bushings n **** too.. sooooo soon as im done with the suspension, I will save and order a cnc innovation side feed intake manifold. Gooooowd I wish I had my rpm billet intake manifold that my last r58 had because not only was it beautiful looking ,it performed better than it looked. It was the only short runner intake I found. Though this cNc one has built in velocity stacks for the individual runners which is pretty cool . Although I miiiiiiiiiiight go with the bottom feed v the side feed because though the bottom feed adds an extra bend in the intake hose it feeds every cylinder evenly instead of like cylinder #1 getting the most air and #4 getting the last of it. Buuuuut the side feed I won't have to do more custom hose routing so idk ,I gotta think on it more.. but I can tell you this : I WILL NOT be getting a semi solid lower engine mount , they make these r58s turn into a buzz box. I need a new lower mount too asap because I noticed a little engine vibration and my lower mount is shot..

These are now my favorite coilovers. Ride is fricken amazing ! I can make it as stiff as I want and need and I can also set it softer than stock if I want. I went just a taaaaad bit stiffer than stock. I installed the 10mm wheel spacers and now if I had 215wide tires, that'd set it off ! I am running 40mm extended lugs to be safe also and I bought spline ones because they've never stripped on me ever.
i installed a velocity stack also ( posted video ) which sounds siiiiiiiiiiiiiick.
also threw in some mystery oil and a few days later did an oil change.. and yes , i know its truck oil BUT i highly highly suggest using this Rotella. Start up clatter goes away completely with this oil and ive run it in ALL my modified builds dang near and ive watched engine wear go down to nothing just switching from castrol to Rotella. Not to mention how much better the engine sounds too with it in it.
I started the chrome delete too and i got headlights ect trim covers coming too so thatll complete the delete than.
theres still plenty plenty more mods to come but heres pics and a video comparing cold intakes with cold start.

I already drove up to see my pops and stay at my cottage so I put the car through its paces on those awesome awesome backroads, which are actually the roads I learned to drive on actually. So probably no better road for me to be boyracer on. But wow this car pushes through corners so well ,I can even induce over steer IF I want...what an amazing amazing little car these are.. I hate to admit, it handles better than my built r53 did.. I wonder why the trackrats arnt going to these over the r53 , I get r53 makes power easier and is more reliable but this r58 is better in every single way...
Btw , check out my mileage i got !!!!! O yea and i threw on a new lower engine mount too.

O yea , here's the listing for my pops house and my cottage..
unfortunately due to my fathmys health issues we are forced to sell and are relocating him back down to the city by me so i can better care for him when he needs...God ima miss that cottage , we built thar place up from a shack into what it is. We also tore down the other cottage and that's where his house sits now..
awesome awesome walleye, bass and muskie lake. Awesome backroads to rip on and its conveniently right outside of Minocqua.. 3.5hr from milwaukee only !

So alot of progress !
I put in all the sideskirts and lined them with red pinstripe , i deleted almost all the chrome now minus the sidemarkers and have to redo front top grill..
I got on the aluminum valvecover, I had to order a 2nd one because the 1st model one I ordered did not seat down and would interfere with the cam but atleast the 2nd one fit.
I also got a cel and found my mafs wire was split AND the jb4 wire was also starting yo split so I repaired both harnesses.
I also have a new favorite wax combo for black cars , OMG look how deep the mini looks now after waxing and ceramic coating it..
I also ordered a turbosmart plumback dv and I'm getting the wideband bung welded onto my dp because i scored aem wideband gauge and matching aem boost gauge for 30$ and they are not knockoffs.. lol there's so much I've done I can't keep track so I will just flood it with the pictures I took..
I swapped from 12mm to 15mm spacers to sit more flush and I set the coilovers rebound abit tighter.
