It has adapters and what I assume are transformer/resistor/control/ballast boxes to utilize the factory wiring. When you turn on the parking lights, you get a halo ring in place of the upper portion of the factory light illuminating; when you turn on the fogs, you get a center LED that lights up in addition to the halo ring.

OK, so you should be able to use BimmerLink or Carly to code the car DRLs to only use the parking light halo. I think when I did it, it was listed as "Upper Fog Light" (or something like that) in the coding software.
Thanks for the feedback, I'll give it a whirl one of these days. I have some other things on that car I want to change as well, so worth learning how to do. The car has one touch down window function, but not up; it auto-locks the doors when you start moving; and even when you use the power lock button to unlock the doors, you still have to pull the door handle twice to exit the vehicle.

I gave mine the auto up windows, and coded for opening / closing with the key fob. Also added auto unlock when I turn the car off.
Nice find chief! No chance of burning your fingers like the Craven unit, and no worries of the plastic tip breaking off like stock, plus being easy to read. I'd call that a win / win.
I take it these did not wire up directly to the factory system....?
The speakers are not 100% drop-in. I had to splice in new connectors for the wiring, and drill new mounting holes for the speakers themselves. Other than that, they hook up just fine.
I'll have to see about picking up a pair. Have the factory system with the HK package, but like yours mine is at that point when these things reach the end of service life.
My lower door woofers were making crusty nasty noises. Turned out, there was some corrosion that started inside the voice coil, so they needed to be swapped out. These speakers were much needed.
Didn't even know you were thinking about selling, Nik. What prompted you to sell?
It was a combination of things… Between the accident, high mileage, need for more space, it was time to move on. The new ride is so much more fun and comfortable for the whole family. The Clubman will be missed, but time to move on!
Ah. Didn't know you had an accident with it, but still would have taken a serious look at it.
Wife smashed the Coupe back in February, head on with a Caravan - total loss. She's still dealing with a fractured ankle, 8 weeks out and not cleared for weight bearing yet. I'm assembling parts and will be reviving the R56s that burned a valve at this time last year. Should be a fun project
Sometimes it's just the 'new' that makes things more fun. There's no denying that the Gen III platform, with the increased size and tech integration, is a more 'comfortable' ride. My daughter has an F54 which I get to drive occasionally - it's a different feel, could get used to it, but really prefer the Gen II overall.
