Audio and Video wiring

Attached, I have a few pics of wires that come off of an LCD screen. I plan on hooking it up to a DVD player, and there are a few questions still bouncing around.

I already know that the the wires that are white, red, and yellow are for audio and video.

The black and red wire with the connect thingy is the power source, how do i hook it up or what do you suggest? I will have a power inverter in the MINI if that helps.

Also, what is that black wire for?

Thank you.

Thats what I was thinking. But I am still stumped on how to power the units.

Try feeding 5V into the power (red + presumably); if nothing from the unit, then turn it up ... 8V ... 12V ... I probably wouln't go higher than that.

Where's the LCD from? No data? Try searching Google for any part numbers on it ...

I believe its 12V. But what exactly do I do?
Sorry, I'm pretty stumped.

Actually i'm looking into something like this, that's why I was on this thread. That's what this info is for, correct? At least the thread is getting some use as opposed to just taking up hard drive space on a server.

Cheers

Seriously why didn't anyone respond? if its a 12v all he has to do is run the wire to the fuse box and use an add a fuse. i would also recommend to anyone else who intends to do this to install a switch that way it doesn't draw power unless its turned on.

Don't get mad at me for trying to resurect this thread but if anyone is looking they ought to know how.

try this link for add a circut and a little bit of wiring info
