Ok...it is time to count 'em down. We are now OFFICIALLY 10 Days Out from the Dragon. (I'm using Thursday as the OFFICIAL beginning point -- though I realize there are those who are already headed in...or will begin early).

Now, don't forget to RSVP for the Chili Cook-off/Pot Luck on Friday night...looks like we are getting a banner crowd and Clover and I are most pleased that it looks like people are bringing more than crackers!!! Yippie....it should be a HOT time in the Dam Room that night.

Hugs to all....and merely a short 10 days left!!!

Actually...I've refigured.....It is ONLY 3 and 3/4 days to the DRAGON.....

(well, 3 & 3/4 actual waking, not at work days)

Here's how I figured it:

Since I'm leaving at 7:30am on Thursday:
There are 238 HOURS left until 4-29 @ 7:30am
I will be at work for about 61 of those hours, Adding to that 61 the 7 hours I commute total for the next 7 work days.
Then I subtracted the time I'll be sleeping which (with luck and participation of my early rising son) should be about 80 hours -- yes, I sleep 8 hours a night.
That leaves me with 90 hours left til the Dragon....

90/24 = 3.75 DAYS!!!!!

Ok, yes...I have too much time on my hands...and I'm TOO excited....perhaps I won't be getting those 80 hours of sleep afterall.

Hugs,
PB

PB,

It sounds like you REALLY need a vacation.

We have a little longer to wait since we won't be there until May 1st. But I am counting too.

Nevermind then.....NoVA = Northern Virginia...I didn't know if you were planning a stop before you got *THAT* close to the Dragon. But nevermind....if you are stopping by....maybe a little lunch if the timing works out. I'll shoot you a PM, incase you are swinging anywhere close.

PB

w00t! I can't wait!

I wish I knew who would be caravaning down via I-95 or I-70/I-40 between Baltimore and DC or I-81 through western MD and at what time, because I'd love to join in.

Everyone,
Just for grins I added a countdown timer to the Dragon Event Guide. Now you'll just how many days, hours, minutes and hours are left until the first event gets started at 6pm on Thursday the 29th. Enjoy and see you all soon!

WARNING: My directional skills are lacking....BUT....

We leave at 7:30am from the Starbucks near our house. We are going down i-81 towards the Dragon...(we are at 66 and VA rt 28 -- near Dulles)....if you want to get up EARLY and meet up with us...you are welcome. (we are leaving Thursday morning, FYI)

Mark: Thanks for the Countdown clock...mucho fun. I have a feeling the forums are going to be a little quiet that weekend!!

HOWEVER, there is NOW 9 days to PB's Blast-Off! Oh....those 9 days can't go by fast enough....

Hugs,
PB

Well .... I'm posting here as a last minute entry
The stars have lined up correctly and I'm gonna come down for my 1st trip tp the Dragon
I'll have my youngest son in tow....who offered to be my co-pilot.
(He's gonna miss some school so...I'm sure that helped him make his decision ...lol)
I'm booked into the Microtel Inn (as there's not much else available)
I haven't had much time to think about a countdown.... so I guess I'll start now

Thanks in advance

Peace,
D
